Been walking past this place almost daily only to realize I was always passing after closing. I made the decision to take my... daily walk earlier and it was just so worth it. My blt sandwich was made quickly and it is honestly so yummy. The salad on theside is very fresh as well. I got a 6 pack of donuts to share with my office for valentines and the wonderful man working snuckin an extra one. The donuts are soft and fresh with a standard but solid chocolate icing. I wish I wasn't leaving because I'd beback often. Such a nice little deli. Thank you and Happy Valentine's day once more :) Read more

Scrumptious! I had the cinnamon roll and it was just delicious. My husband had the chocolate & strawberry donut and he said... they were delicious also. The gentlemen serving us were just wonderful. Read more

Absolutely delicious sandwich. The chef/owner is a first responder with a real knack to make quality sandwhichs and salads. This... was my first time here and I will go back again in a heartbeat. This time around I had the Chicago Steamer. Meat was cookedperfectly and bread was soft and buttered to a T. It is a little pricey but you are supporting a small business and someone whohas served our community as a firefighter. Congratulations on a great deli. Read more

My boyfriend and I went there around 10:00a this morning to try it out. When we got there, it wasn't busy, we had three parties... in front of us, and the atmosphere was a bit confusing. I wanted to order their breakfast sandwich on a croissant but they out.The guy that took our order didn't really understand the menu, not knowing what flavors there were of donuts. We ordered twobreakfast sandwiches, two coffees and one donut and it came out to $18; It wasn't worth it. The donut was nice and crispy on theoutside but slightly undercooked on the inside. The blueberry was icing, decorated on top of the donut, which was saturated withoil or butter when I bit into the donut. It also a horrible presentation. The guy put it in a plastic container on top ofparchment paper, using parchment paper to pick up the donut making the icing spread out on the parchment paper. Now, the reasonI won't be returning to Donuts and Deli is the fact while we were waiting on our food, the gentleman that took our order tookout the trash after we sat down. I will go ahead and add that it was the only trash can in the restaurant. When he came back, hegrabbed a couple of dirty baking sheets, and took them to the back. He came to get other dirty dishes, and touched some cleanones, rather than asking the cook if they were dirty. He preceded to take the dirty dishes to the back and then came back, ranhis hand under the faucet for one second, not even using any soap (I only wish I was exaggerating), and dried his hands AND THENBROUGHT ME AND MY BOYFRIEND OUR FOOD!!!! HOW DISGUSTING!!! The food was so greasy I had to wipe my hands off after every bite.the sausage was the only thing that gave my biscuit any flavor. There's only one coffee cup size (a starbucks venti) and theatmosphere is extremely odd It took me a minute to understand why there was an air tank hanging on the wall and three fire hoseson the ceiling. They have made a poor attempt to make the atmosphere seem like a firehouse. T Read more

Went there today and was disappointed. The holes donuts had potential but the insides were undercooked (I liked the crispy... outsides). I also had a breakfast sandwich and it was very thrown together (looked and tasted like a not quite to the level of awaffle House breakfast sandwich, i.e. waffle House would have been preferred) (I've made some super great breakfast sandwichesat my home that would have it to shame). Coffee was also just super basic coffee, like the kind would expect to pay 75¢ for butcosting $2. Read more

I woke up on a Saturday morning eager to try out this new spot on their second day of being open. While aware that it may still... be experiencing growing pains, my expectations were nonetheless high. I had heard about the maple bacon donut and powdered-sugarcronuts on River City Eats and wanted to try them out. Upon arriving at about 8:15 am on 10/20/2018, I was taken aback to onlysee about 15-20 total donuts on the counter. Worse yet, I only saw 3 different flavors: glazed, chocolate iced, and a chocolatedonut with blue icing. I thought by arriving early I?d find the entire menu of donuts available for order, or at least most ofthem. I was wrong. Strike one. Disheartened by the absence of the maple bacon donut and powdered-sugar cronut, in particular, Iopted for the glazed, chocolate iced, and a red velvet pastry item. After making it home and getting my coffee ready, I foundmy glazed donut to be dense and nothing to write home about but satisfying. My wife didn?t like it at all, though. As I took abite into the amount she didn?t finish, I realized it was undercooked; it was nothing like the one I had just eaten. Strike two.I then moved onto the chocolate iced donut hesitantly and for good reason. It looked tasty, but it had a bland flavor and thedenseness didn?t help it. Maybe this is a matter of personal preference, though. While the red velvet pastry was good, my firstexperience overall with Donuts & Deli was less than positive. Two strikes against it on the first trip is not good. Perhapsthings will improve as it works through the growing pains, but I am perplexed by the decision to officially open (versus callingit a soft open) with such a limited menu of donuts, which is supposedly their speciality after all. Moreover, the donuts I triedneed to have better overall quality, not to mention being fully cooked. Read more

We were excited that a Donut place opened up close to the office and stopped in this morning. We tried a blueberry muffin, a... lemon pastry of some kind, and a strawberry cake ball. The blueberry muffin and lemon thing were both pretty good 4 star items. My wife described the strawberry cake ball as "bad fair food". We left it uneaten after a bite each, but it's possible thatit's just not our thing. They had a few fruit danishes that looked really good. Most of the cinnamon rolls looked tooovercooked for us so we didn't try one of them. They will make a hot breakfast items, which sounded good, but they'll have towork on the speed to be able to feed enough people to keep the doors open. We saw them make a sandwich for someone and it tookforever. That's probably just a growing pain type thing that I'm sure will improve. The most disappointing thing, for a placewith Donuts in the name they didn't have a single thing that my kids would identify as a donut. Several pastries, some cupcakes, some muffins, no donuts. I'd come back and try some of the other things they have, but if I'm craving donuts I'll just have tohope someone else picked some up on the way into the office. Read more
