We used to enjoy Casey's often on Reservoir Rd., before they closed and we found a new love, Whole Hog. This was our first... visit since they reopened on Cantrell, Tanglewood area. It was delicious. I bought two plates, and we did not eat all of one. Huge servings of well cooked 'salamander' fries, perfect okra, good home-made (or like) lighter Cole slaw. The chopped Pork BBQwas tasty, finely chopped, juicy (or a bit greasy), with a thinner, more vinegary sauce. Very good - but we honestly could notremember the old Casey's to compare. Big portions, polite and helpful staff and clean restaurant. I've only had the pulled pork - which was good - so I can't say... much about the food except it was served piping hot. I'm not a huge fan of the sauce but it is quite peppery. Anxious to returnand try some of the other bbq offerings and a burger. Read more
The fries were unique, hot, and tasty. The BBQ was mediocre. It came with slaw (nice flavor) but the sauce was a huge... disappointment, no flavor. I think good BBQ houses should offer at least two different sauces, ideally more. Improve the sauceand I would give a higher rating. Read more
Pulled pork is real soft. The bbq sauce is tasty. The beans and mac & cheese are solid also. Overall really good place. In par... with whole hog. Sides area tad bit better here. Read more
