Food is not nearly as good as I remember it. Place was decently clean. Staff was friendly. My biggest issue was the smell in... there. I'm not saying it was, but the smell of weed was strong. Not something I'm interested in smelling when I go in to eatsomewhere. Read more

No dental insurance? No problem.. order the chicken from Captain D?s, you will surely lose a tooth or two! The chicken is fried... harder than crack! The 2 ladies up front (Kelly and Janiah) were amazing but this ratchet gum popping, hoops bigger than mybangles wearing, braids done on the stoop by her home-girl in apartment 2B, lashes longer than the first semester of school,couldn?t be employed by nobody else because she was fired from McDonald?s, Wendy?s, and Taco Bell, nasty female was in the backjust throwing orders everywhere! I ate here over 2 years ago and yesterday I decided to give them another go. I had the catfish meal with green beans,... mac-n-cheese and fries. The beans were well seasoned, the mac was pretty good and the fries were just ordinary. Thehushpuppies were also fairly normal. The catfish, unfortunately, wasn't that great. Whatever seasoning blend they use needssome work. The tartar sauce doesn't really help either. I also added on a 5-piece butterfly shrimp, and these were prettygood. The service was good and quick but I think I'll look elsewhere for good catfish. Read more
This is a VERY well-run establishment. The Manager is one of the best I have seen. If you go ask her for her special Arnold... Palmer it does taste better when she does it. In ALLLLLLLLL of the years, I have gone to this location when she has been incharge I have never had a bad meal. I think her name is Shirley. I may go now just thinking about it. Read more
In LR for a serious medical appointment. Have not had Capt D's (comfort food) in a very very long time. So we did. DeQuan and... the lady manager made the bad day alot better with their service and smiles. The food was just as good as I remembered. Thankyou guys. Read more
