I hate writing this because I am a big supporter of small businesses and the staff was so friendly. The food first. Lobster was... definitely overcooked and borderline rubbery. Shrimp was a littleovercooked, crab and potatoes were cooked well. The sauce(cajun) was tasty and so was the lemon. There is a smell that comes from the bathroom that is overwhelming. The place was cleanand it's about 50 a person. I tipped 15% thinking someone would bring the food to my table, it is not that kind of place. Idon't mind, just giving a heads up. Would I return, probably not. Sorry folks Read more

We got the #1. Lemon pepper and honey garlic. First time eating crabs out. It was good. The bathrooms are super nasty lots of... build ups and soaked toilet paper ???? The corn, don't bother getting it. It was all mushed. Read more

Corn is always gummie. I don?t know why I continue to order it. The sausage and potatoes are good. They give very very very... little sauce for seafood. Some flavors are a hit or miss. Read more

I'll be honest I really wanted to like this place. We recently built a new home in Oak Point and were excited to have a crab... place close to home. First, they are only open from Thursday - Sunday - cool, NP. My first impression, was that the placewasn't being cleaned well. Door handles to the bathroom and refrigerator where you get your drinks were all caked with dirt andgrim like they NEVER clean those areas and they are all high touch. The entire front portion of the restaurant is the diningarea, but I felt like I was in a skating rink. You can tell they use the same mop and mop water that they use in the back to mopthe front area without changing the water or using a different mop. That should have been my first sign to walk out, but theyhad some good reviews and possibly may be a black owned business so I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. We got the#1 spicy for 52.99, kids shrimp and shrimp pasta for my daughter. Now, I have to be fair. The pasta was decent and I'dpossibly get that again, but based on the cleanliness of the restaurant, IDK. Now, let's talk about the crab because the nameof the restaurant IS King Krab. I love me some crab and have tried many places but what they are making is overcooked, way toobuttery and greasy and has ZERO flavor. There arw too many potatoes and honestly it was just gross. Perhaps, the spicy flavoris not what they are known for and the garlic butter is better, but overall I was just not impressed. I've always lived incentral Dallas until moving to LE so we did have access to lots of good restaurants, but I am shocked at how many people likethis place. Maybe, they just don't know anything else?!? In my opinion, you can get waaaay better food at Kicking Crab inCarrollton or even Crab Station, but Kicking Crab is my fav. As a result of this horrible experience I know I'll have to make upfor it by going somewhere else. Long story short, don't believe the hype. Read more
