This place is a hidden gem among Listowel. The food was presented very well and just what you would expect for fine dining. ... The temperature, and texture of the proteins and vegetables were spot on. You can tell the chefs here take pride in theirdishes. I'd love to give a high five to the chefs because they nailed every palate I was expecting. The etiquette from thewaitresses was spot on. Every utensil was properly placed, the food was served from the correct sides, and the drinks werealways being refreshed. I'd like to give both the ladies who served us a 10/10 and as a person who has fine dined many times inmy life I would say this is the missing part in a lot of fine dining restaurants. Not at hom though! Great work ladies. Theatmosphere I can't speak enough about. It's truly a one of a kind experience. We had a rather large party and I can't believeI didn't take pictures but I'll be back to update my review with some. For me this is truly worth every penny you'llspend. I find any of the low star reviews have nothing to do with thequality of the food, and/or the people have never fine dined as they're expectations of a large meal isn't how fine dining worksand pricing is never based on the quantity but the quality. And the quality here is exactly what I would expect as afoodie. People must remember giving a 1 star review is a slap in the face and if you have 1 thing wrong then you should bringit to their attention personally before you jump to a conclusion that the "wait time" is what made you upset but you're happywith everything else. Also if you're aiming for a low price point at a fine dining restaurant you may want to visit more finedining restaurants because a special means its something special. Stopped in for a date night, after hearing about it on the radio. Fell in love and will most certainly be back! It?s a modern... feel, with the original charm of the home. The menu was delicious and very reasonably priced. Everything made in house, rightdown to the bread and butter, and the chef does an amazing job! The dining room is elegant and homey at the same time. We had the salmon and the pasta for dinner. Fantastic! Because dinner was... so good, we opted for dessert as well, a very good decision. The vanilla creme brule and chocolate cheesecake weredelicious. The hosts are such a lovely family, I recommend 10/10 I didn't think to get pictures of dessert, I was too absorbedin the experience. Ordered the special as we were travelling. Most expensive dish on the menu!!! The waitress did not tell us this and we assumed... that it would be less expensive being a special! And we didn't really find it that wonderful. Read more

Our waitress was very sweet, and overall the food was good. However, it was the slowest meal I have ever had. We were there for... 3 hours, with half our table doing the tasting menu and half ordering items of the regular menu. They did 2 dishes of thetesting menu, which was just over an hour. With the 3rd dish the rest of us were served dinner. At this point it was almost anhour and twenty minutes since we ordered. We all then waited for the following 2 courses for those doing the testing menu. Bythe time most of us got our food we were starving, and by the time we left, we were all impatient and exhausted. This place is a gem. Lovely old home on Main Street in Listowel. Dining area is well set up, and lots of the old, timeless... architecture has been kept up or enhanced. I liked all the signature pear accents from the menu logo, to the frosted logo on thewindow panes, to the centrepieces on each table. But it?s the food! Oh so delicious. We had an appetizer, entree and dessert. Wefinished them all. Portion sizes are not huge, but I must say, we both left this place feeling very satiated and satisfied. Eachcourse was well presented, and a joy to savour and devour. Server was super attentive and willing to make our experience veryenjoyable. We will stop by whenever we are nearby. Highly recommend.
