Reviews for El Zócalo Grill & Cantina in Lino Lakes, MN
Great menu options for dinner and reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating! If you have a child... that is a good eater I suggest ordering off the adult menu, my 8 year old wasn't too impressed with the tiny cheese quesadillafrom the kids menu and the huge side of Mexican rice. We ended up ordering just an extra cheese quesadilla. It all worked outand everything was delicious!! Will be back again! Read more
The food is amazing! The service could use some work!
Stopped by on National Taco Day since my work is less than a mile away and had two supreme shredded steak tacos. I'm glad I only... ordered two because if I'd gotten three I would have eaten them all and ended up in a food coma for the rest of the day. Greatflavors and quick service, so I'll certainly be back! Very tasty steak skillet. Lots of meat, great portion size and value. Our waitress was prompt and polite. Definitely will be... back! Read more
Good, but it was basically just Fiesta Cancun still. Seems like the same menu. Giant margaritas and can sit on patio here.
First time here. Poor customer service; waiter had to be called over to take our order. Waiter never checked in with us during... our meal. Waiter had to be called over again to receive our bill. I ordered three enchiladas, the chicken was cold and thecheese was not melted. The red sauce was thick like tomato paste, cold, and bitter. I couldn?t eat a quarter of it. I willnot return. Read more
The first time I went here, I ate inside. I was like "Oh Wow I think I found a really Great place!" The food tasted GREAT!... Portions were smaller than other real Mexican places. So I would give it 4 1/2 stars that time. I live by Monticello so it is ahour and some to get there. This time I ordered to go. My Daughter lives 15 minutes away from here. This time was REALLY BAD! MyChimichanga was not even deep fried or crispy on the outside. The meal was 2 Chimichanga's and side beans and rice. I minus therice. The Chimichanga's were made out of small soft shells. I ordered a Chile Relleno too. It was under cooked and you couldn'tcut the pepper with your fork. My Daughter picked hers up and tried to bit it off and she couldn't even bit it. Same for myother Daughter's Chile Relleno. Plus she never got her rice or beans with her meal of 2 Chile Relleno's. I was going to give azero stars, but it was good before. So I gave it 2 stars, because I know you can do better than this if you wanted too! You justdon't care about out orders. We would have came in but we had a baby and 2 kids sleeping in the van. We could have done TacoBell on the way home from our trip, but we wanted good food and kids were sleeping so we could go out of our way a bit for it!VERY DISAPPOINTED! Read more
Good local spot to get some fresh Mexican food. Chips were served warm and crispy with a bottle of salsa. Service was... phenomenal, our server was on top of her game and very pleasant. I ordered the margarita chicken and it was so good, perfectlycooked chicken and plenty of flavor. Also ordered a burrito and it was huge, took up the entire plate. I also ordered a smallside of guac for $5, not my favorite as I like mine chunky with all the goods in it but if you like it simple then it?s for youas it still had good flavor. You can also order the fully loaded guac but it?s a huge bowl. Price was average if $14 a meal. Thespace itself has a small bar area with tvs and then a medium size dining area and nice decor. I would go here again. Read more
