Throw back in time. Large fresh fish market/restaurant. Placed order at counter, sat and waited for number to be called.... Beverage orders at different counter, separate ring up!? Bartender also shucked fresh oysters... Strange set up but seemed towork. The Captain's platter was very good, with the exception of shrimp which were hammered and everything needed a little moreseasoning. The Scallops were sweet and tender, baked clams and cod were delish. The whole lobster from Nova Scotia was alsosweet and tender. Had to bring claws back to be cracked. I was a little put off by the refrigeration as beverages were not coldand the gelato looked like it was melting... Although the fish was excellent I wondered if refrigeration was ok in the back. Mgmt was very patient with us as we lost track of time catching up with relatives from out of town and didn't realize they weretrying to close. My family and I have been coming to this place for over 20 years now, and I'm sorry to say we will no longer be returning. The... quality of the broiled lobsters has dramatically worsened. Last two takeout orders - lobsters tasted gamey and rubbery, likethey had been reheated multiple times, and the coleslaw had gone bad and needed to be thrown out. Terrible and verydisappointing. I now live out of the country and whenever I... return home to Long Island, I make a point of coming here for lobster and littlenecks.
