Excellent food and atmosphere. Definitely one of Lincolns best.

I used to go to the Oven waaaay back when I was in college, back in the Haymarket. The food was pretty much the same, so quite... good, but our waitress was incredibly rude. It was shocking. We came to celebrate my daughter finishing her first year of lawschool and she ruined it. She was annoyed when we asked questions about what we should order, we had to actually go up to thebar to get refills for our wine and ask another waiter for missing items. All the food was so tasty and it was a great overall dining experience. Everything we ate was delicious - our server recommended... the Spinach Bread and it was scrumptious. I also especially liked their Mulligatawny Soup. Fantastic ambiance and the servicewas top notch. Recommend! Read more

Ate at the Oven it was delicious and spicy. I loved it. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture of the Mulligatawny Soup.... Whoops but you can definitely tell I cleared my bowl. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Korma and the Chicken Tikka Madras. The Kormawas much spicier than the Madras. The Madras was creamy and smooth and bursting with spicy flavors. The dish was served withsaffron rice and we ordered a side of Naan that wasn't pictured. It was delicious and worth the price. Read more

Just passing through, indian food sounded super tasty. The Oven did not disappoint, not in the least. My husband and I ordered... the vegetarian thali dinner. Clearly, we hated the meal. Everything was perfect. It has been years since I've had Indiancuisine this delicious. Read more

Nice and cozy ambience, good lighting. The food was fresh, chickpeas was a little less spicy for my liking. The stuff was... polite. The beverage I took, 'lassi' was the best. Totally recommended for a nice dinner. Read more

Delicious food, friendly and helpful service, great restaurant vibe. When I asked our waitress for help choosing a dish, she... proved extremely knowledgeable about dishes on the menu and seemed happy to explain what to expect from each option I inquiredabout. She was both kind and patient with us and contributed to our enjoyable experience at The Oven. The food was delicious andthe portions large: well worth the price (~$15/dish). When we had leftovers, our waitress packed up our dishes into containersand carefully labeled each of the lids with the dish name and date before placing our food back in front of each of us. Food was very good. We had a thali which is a shared meal that consists of a bit of everything. Flavors were great. Curry was... perfectly seasoned. Lamb Curry was my favorite. Service was the weakest part, really slow. Now the waitresses fault though, Ibelieve she was given four tables at once and we were the smallest at 2. Will go again. Read more
