The food is absolutely amazing but the service made it even better! Our server was terrific and patient. We had a decent sized... party, and the server was very patient to wait for everyone to be ready to order but kept checking in on us periodically.Although her shift was almost over, she did not rush us. Very busy on a Sunday because their specials are so good. I had a Bento box this time. It was a good time.
Very last minute decision to come here for dinner for our Anniversary date night because this was the only place that was open... fairly late. We got here around 9:35 and were extremely happy that they still so does even though they closed at 10. MajorMAJOR shout out to our server first of all! What a gem! So friendly and always checking and honest if we needed anything - andit was out of genuine concern and not just to make us leave. In fact, we ended up staying beyond 10:00 p.m. and he was stillsuper nice the entire time. Really friendly and bubbly and nice to talk to as well. As for the food.. I got the beef andbroccoli and really loved it! It was steaming hot! Definitely freshly made. Good chunks of meat and really good amount ofbroccoli as well. I love the ratios on this year. There was quite an amount of sauce though which I was not expecting butoverall it was a really good dish. May or may not have burned my tongue, but it was all worth it! My fiance got the Thaichicken curry from the entree section. He also had a good amount of vegetables in there and the chicken was really well cooked.Quite some big pieces of chicken too. Another fresh dish with a lot going on but very good things going on. We got the sidesalad for both orders. It was a simple greens plus dressing kind of a salad, but that dressing was out of this world! I askedthe server and he said it was an in-house carrot ginger dressing. I'm now on the lookout for a good one to purchase! To end themeal we asked for the scallion pancake. Server was surprised this was our ending, but he went with it. Put it in just before thekitchen closed. The pancake was nice and flaky and really fresh and warm and crispy. Reserve Happy Sunday I came here all time on Sundays as a college student with my friends. With Sunday being reserved happy... hour all day, my friends and I are able to experience the wonderful food at affordable prices. This is the first place I trySushi and fall in love with it. The staff was friendly and the service was great. I have always had a good time here and enjoycoming back when possible, preferably on a Sunday. Read more
The rolls we received tasted like they had been sitting out for a long period of time, the Husker roll (which is supposed to be... tempura beef tenderloin) tasted and was hard like beef jerky while a shrimp tempura roll was soggy. When we brought this up toour waiter for a possible replacement, his manager was too much of a coward to address us and instead sent our waiter backsaying we would be charged for another, no apology or follow up. The greatest part of our visit was our drinks and our waiter,Hugo. He did such a fantastic job and was overall a server I would love to have again, just not in this establishment. Its a fine dine suchi place and they have happy hours as well. The price during happy hours for sushi and drinks are fairly... cheap and their sushi is amazing. We have ordered around 5-6 types of sushis and it came on this big boat so we can take andshare. Their gyoza are the best, hands down. Read more
Decent sushi, mediocre service. We went for my son's 18th birthday lunch. We brought our own cake and they charged us a $12... "cake free". Don't really care about the $12 as we spent over $150 on sushi but thought it was strange of them to charge us. Read more
When ordering I specifically told the person taking my order to separate the cooked and the raw (I am 5 months pregnant). I was... not the one to pick up the order so did not notice that it was all mixed together until I received it. My sweet chili crab rolldid not have sweet chili on it nor did I receive my extra sweet chili sauce. I called and spoke to Gibson and was told theywould remake it and separate it but would have to wait 1 hour, yet again. At this point I am willing to wait because I had beencraving the sweet chili crab roll all day. I go ahead and toss out the rolls and 10 minutes later Gibson calls back and tells mehe needs the original order brought back, which he should have let me know from the get go. I let him know that I had tossed itout since I am not able to eat it and would not be fishing it out of the garbage, but would gladly take the whole garbage bag.So now not only do I have to wait another hour for my order, but have to go through the trouble of fetching the rolls from thegarbage if I want my order remade. Tom, the general manager, went ahead and refunded my money back ($100 order), as he should,but now I am left with figuring out something else for dinner at 8pm on a Sunday.
