Reviews for Charred Burger + Bar in Lincoln, NE
My wife and I really like this place. Their burgers, fries and dipping sauces are amazing. Service can sometimes be sketchy... but that just seems to be a sign of the times. They never seem overly busy which is nice as a customer but hope they can stayopen. Read more
These burgers were extraordinary. They were cooked to perfection and honestly the best burgers I?ve ever tasted. I would highly... recommend not only because of the food but the atmosphere was excellent and the service was 5 stars. Read more
Our burgers were not Charred, but half raw. Appetizers came out after the burgers even though we were asked and specifically... answered that we wanted the appetizers first. I wish I had gone to the place with endless fries. Better food and better fries. The only thing I can say is that the Aioli sauces are the best I have ever tasted. Read more
First time even hearing about this place and it did NOT disappoint! Food was amazing, location perfect! Service was great as... well! Will definitely go back!! Read more
Burgers and fries done right for sure! I recommend the classic as it always pleases: a wagyu beef with American cheese, lettuce,... tomatoes, onion and pickles! And the fries?YES! Not sure how they are made, but they taste and have the texture of thricefried potatoes? not a hint of sogginess! Before taking the risk of coming here for a burger, my go to when I just had to have agood burger, was Honest Abe?s. I still love Honest Abe?s, and its three Lincoln locations is a plus, but if you?re headedtowards South-point?plan on eating at Charred!! You will not be disappointed! Read more
I had the avocado loaded fries and the jalapeno popper burger. Both were phenomenal and a good price for how much food it was.... The server was super sweet and the service was quick. Read more
Seems Charred opened about six weeks ago. Being a dude of simple tastes, I can't resist trying a new burger joint. Charred did... not disappoint. The atmosphere is casual. I'm reminded of a burger place I tried in Las Vegas one time, but this is prettydown-to-earth by comparison. There's plenty of space, a lot of tables, and a lot of windows for natural light. The burgersare, naturally, the main attraction, dominating most of the menu. They do have chicken wings and a few other offerings, too. And of course, being a burger bar, the back half of the printed menu has a variety of drinks. The burgers are made from Wagyubeef, which is meant to set them apart from other burger places. I can't deny that mine was juicy, tender, and tasty, so maybethey're on to something. Did I mention I have simple tastes? I ordered the Classic burger and I was surprised the serverdidn't ask how I wanted it cooked. It took several minutes while my food was cooked to order, and my burger arrived hot andfresh. I was a little surprised at the size of it-- I guess I had expected something beefier (sorry, couldn't resist). I guessit might have been barely a quarter of a pound before they cooked it up. But whatever it may have lacked in bulk, it more thanmade up for in flavor, texture, and satisfaction. It was a delicious burger. Even though I normally order my burgers mediumwell and this one had no pink at all in it, it was quite perfect in temperature and juiciness. Whereas the portion size on theburger was relatively small--it was only $8.50--, the $3 side of tots was mountainous. It was a very generous portion size, andthe tots were cooked to crispy perfection. The garlic aioli dip included in the price (they have many other dips to choosefrom) complemented the tots perfectly, but even without it, they'd have been a treat. They had exactly the right amount ofseasoning, to enhance the flavor of the tots without being overwhelmingly salty. The soft drink Read more
It was a pleasant experience. Staff were friendly and service was satisfactory. I ordered the black and Bleu burger and it was... on point. My wife ordered the Bacon and beer cheese, and the burger it's self was cooked too well done. The seasoning, seemedlike it was seared off. The beer cheese was pretty good though. Read more
