Reviews for Billy's in Lincoln, NE
It looks like a Bed & Breakfast or a hidiing place for old money, but it's Billy's Restaurant . The restaurant opened in 1985... and now it's 2022. A good run and still going. I met the owner but didn't know him beforehand so I thought he was a nut needingattention. He is a delightful individual from Iran. His sense of humor is good but he was having trouble keeping up with mypace. I am just that witty. Don't worry about it, Nader! You will be OK. Two of those present in our party had the salmon andloved it. I ordered the pork shank and thought it was ok. I didn't like the seasoning or the sauce it was served in. I will begoing back and will give it another chance. The atmosphere is nice and the server guy was great. Read more
Chef Nader came and spoke with us after dinner. Nice family feel overall. Food was delicious! Drinks were reasonably priced.... Steak was awesome. We also had the duck and it was very good. When we go back, I want to try the rack of lamb. Well done,Billy's. Read more

This was such a great experience. Billy’s is in an old house and there were only a couple of tables per room. It made it feel... like we were in someone’s home and while we could hear (and be heard - we were quite loud. My apologies to the other diners.)other people it still felt intimate to our group. We got crab cakes, bruschetta, Brussels sprouts, and the baked brie forappetizers. They were all fantastic. We mostly all got different entrées and everyone said their meal was excellent. I got thepasta carbonara. I had eaten so much of the appetizers that I barely had room for the pasta, but I did my level best. I wouldhave taken the rest home in a heart beat, but I’m from out of town and I didn’t think TSA or my future fellow passengerswould appreciate that. I love and hate when restaurants bring out a selection of the desserts so you can see them in additionto hearing what they are. Makes it so hard to resist the temptation that way. I got the lava cake. The cake (that didn’t touchthe chocolate sauce inside) was ever so slightly dry, but it was still very good. Our waiter was the son of the owner and waslovely. He knew the menu very well and made great suggestions and I enjoyed his humor. The owner came by at one point and uponrequest told a somewhat dirty joke. Some of my coworkers had eaten here previously and had fun chatting with him. Overalleverything here was excellent and I would definitely come again the next time I’m in Lincoln. Read more

Rack of Lamb has full of rosemary flavor and it’s beautiful! The ambiance is warm and nostalgic.
The restaurant is a beautiful old home with lots of character, the food presentation is appealing, but it may have just been an... off day but what happened was ridiculous. First incident. Appetizer was mussels in white wine sauce, some were almost ice coldeven though the shells were open, which Isent back. Second. Asked for another glass of wine, brought a different type than myfirst. Third. When my guest and I received our lamb chops almost 2 hours later, both were at best rare to raw and one wassupposed to be medium. We got up explained how disappointed and unexceptional the meal was, tipped our server and left withouteating. Read more
Food was very good, only issue was too much dressing on salad and food was sauce heavy. I think if they went lighter on the... salad dressing and sauces it would be amazing. Definitely going to try it again. Read more
