Great family owned place with a very large menu. Not your typical Cafe place. You can tell they make a lot of the items in house... and take care and have pride in the food. Employees seem genuinely happy to work there. That's always a great sign. Read more
Something has changed, maybe new owners? We hadn't been here in a while and today we were very disappointed with our service.... The food was good but two tables seated after us were served before us and were almost finished by the time we got our food. Atone point I needed a refill of water and I looked up at two young men one who was the drink server and the other who was makingsalads. They were chatting. I made eye contact with the salad guy and waved at him and held up my empty cup he looked straightat me and did nothing. No acknowledgment whatsoever. Didn't let the other guy know that I needed something. The other young manfinally turned around and came over. This was after the waitress had said she was going to bring a larger cup of water with moreice and she had never come back with that, although I noticed she found time to goof off and chat for a few minutes with someonein the kitchen. We had been waiting a while for our food and they tried to give us someone else's food. Waitress was veryconfused and commented several times that our table number was on the ticket. As if we have something to do with that or maybewe were mistaken about what we ordered. When our food finally came (it was actually quite good, eggs were cooked nicely,potatoes were tasty, bacon was meaty) we commented that it had taken a long time and the waitress said "Yeah I was thinking thesame thing. I kept looking back there making eye contact with the boss and he didn't like it" What does that even mean? The boss(who was actually her dad also) doesn't like it when you try to make sure food gets out in a timely manner? Kind of lame toblame the kitchen for everything instead of just apologizing. Which come to think of it, she never actually did apologize forhow long it took. They definitely need to work on coordinating their efforts and improve their service. Most likely we will notbe back. This place was randomly found on a humbug. I didn?t do any research on them before I dined, like I normally do, but it still... ended up being a nice place for breakfast. The size of the plates are very worthy of the prices. The freshly squeezed orangejuice was very good, too. They have multiple T.V?s above the bar also. Read more
First time eating here met a friend for lunch. Food was ok. The service needs improvement. Waitresses seemed distracted and... unorganized. Took me to multiple places before finding a seat, left us waiting quite a while to order and didn't check back inafter we got our food. Brought the check over right after we got our food. They had some family come in to visit as some of thewaitresses are related, and sat right behind me having loud conversations and shouting to other patrons about an order theymessed up. It was hard for my friend and I to visit during our meal. Read more
This is my favorite place in town. In a time where prices of everything is going up they have stayed affordable. The food is... impressively tasty everytime I've ever eaten there and an large menu that assures there is something for everybody. Family ownedwith an amazing staff 5 stars.
