This was our very first time here. We were told this would be a great place for brisket. Also we came to support an non... profit organization to help raise funds for the homeless. Well our order was placed first by my spouse. He ordered while Iwent to the rest room. By the way the restroom was very clean. The seating area was clean. The menu was clear and the cashierwas also helpful with providing any additional information about the food. We were very disappointed. My husband's order wasnot made. My son's order was missing the items I had requested and our expectations of the food was not good. We will not bereturning to this location. The brisket was chopped we were expecting whole slices. Not chopped, the ribs tasted as if they were left over from the night before. The greens were not good. Over all not a good experience in this food. Maybe we hadgotten the wrong items, they we were told about. The taste of our food was not good. Also we drove all the way from Atlanta to have a great experience at this location. Not good. There were eight of us, and we had two young and noisy children. Fortunately, they weren't busy, so we didn't cause any... problems. Wait staff was efficient, courteous and professional. We got our food quickly, and it was very good. Prices high (likeevery restaurant these days) but it was good barbecue cooked on location. I'll definitely go back. Read more
We went to Smokin Gold for the first time. We ask the host about the Brunswick Stew she said it was very good. My wife and I... both ordered the Brunswick and the look and the taste was not like any Brunswick we tasted. Okay so I live down the street and work literally right across from it, pass it everyday and never got my attention bc I don?t... really like bbq sauce. Let me tell you, this was the best food I?ve had in a min. Sooo good and flavorful! Not dry, notexpensive. Def worth it. I placed an order through Uber eats, of course the delivery service charge fees. They let someone walk out with my order, so my... order was delayed by them making it again taking more time and I paid 26 dollars and some change for an order that hasno Potential as well they never sent my soda!!! Long time since I'd had BBQ and first time customer craving Barbecue met employees Brittany and Blake they'd mentioned the best... item was the menu was their brisket and especially the brisket burnt ends a special offered on Fridays. My mouth began to waterso I phoned in a takeout order for the sampler dinner (see menu), a variety of different sides and choice of meats (rib tips,brisket)to choose from, a great representation of savory items to get acquainted with what Smokin' Gold BBQ had tooffer. Rebecca greated me at the register front counter also raved about the burnt ends so I ordered the burnt ends extra withmy order. The sides were great, beans, coleslaw, macaroni w/cheese, pickles, potatoe salad etc., and Texas toast. The brisketto my surprise was shredded instead of sliced and the rib tips were sliced as well. The Brisket burnt ends were tender andgrilled to perfection. All meat had great flavor. The only disappointment was there was excess of fat not enough burnt endsmeat. We ordered the sampler platter which had all the meats and a taste of all the sides for I think $32.99. Me and my husband split... it and still had leftovers to take home. The taste of everything was amazing. The peach cobbler was quite literally the bestpeach cobbler I?ve ever had. And my whole table felt the same way.
