Good comfort food and large portions for great prices. Lots of selection. Recommend the mac n cheese burger and the totchos.
Location under new management, so press the reset button and give this place a try. Three of us were treated by friendly,... prompt service. We all had large draft beers which were quickly served, very cold and tasty. I ordered French onion soup foran appetizer. Was at the table within 5 minutes. Very hot and very good. We each ordered own own sandwiches. Food was servedin 10 - 15 minutes. No skimping on quality or quantity, We will be stopping back our next time thru Lexington. Read more
Very loud inside but pricing and staff were great. Menu is very overwhelming but you won't be disappointed.
Staff was nice enough, but I have never waited so long for a sandwich in my life. We hadn?t seen our sandwiches in over 30 mins... so we had to tell them we were taking it to go. Absolutely the worst eating establishment of all time. COVID is not an excuse?it sucked before and during and still does, and... every other restaurant in town seems to have found a way to meet the bare minimum. Macado's keeps coming up with new ways todisappoint. Service is not just unreliable?it is a foreign concept. One might blame recent management turnover, except thatturnover has been constant at this location in the three years I've lived here. Hours change regularly and unpredictably?it's abar(?) that's not open at bar hours? Wait times (wait to be seated, wait to order, wait to get food, wait to pay) are insaneeven when empty?45 minutes, an hour(!?)?and that hurts especially bad because Macado's isn't a place anyone goes expectingexcellence: cheap, bad, fast food is why you go. Wing night special is the only menu item worth buying, but now they won't do itto-go (which I preferred so as to minimize contact), and the special inexplicably ends an hour before close, which you only findout when you get there. I am baffled?absolutely astounded?that this place is still operating. I guess maybe money from theirother franchises (about which I hear good or at least better things) keeps it afloat? Please, please, please, take your moneyelsewhere. Lexington needs this building for a real restaurant and bar that understands service industry basics. Read more
1:30 Tuesday afternoon meal. I had the corned beef and pastrami club sandwich and a cola with Lays chip because they were out of... onion rings and potato salad. All was good tasting. I could tell they weren't exactly back to 100% service, but at least theywere open during posted hours. Two restaurants I had walked to in downtown Lexington wasn't open even the posted hours on thedoors and on Google maps showed that they should be. My waitress was a delight. Read more
This is a chain restaurant! As vegetarians we thought the food was only fair for a restaurant with a huge menu in a college town... like Lexington, VA you would think that they could come up with a few really good vegetarian options. The cheese dip tasted likeit was out of a can or bottle. The mushroom burger is actually a hamburger with mushrooms on it although the menu is not clearabout that. They did supply ample ketchup with the French fries. On a positive note, we received excellent service from robinand we enjoyed sitting on the large porch for lunch. The historical note about an African-American butcher once owning thebuilding and running his business from this location was an added bonus. Read more
