Lights on, door unlocked, fully staffed... Walked in at 4:30 AM to eat after having to work late... Was "greeted" by a worker... who only said, "hello, we're closed." If that's the case, turn off your bright sign and lock the door. That's what they makelight switches and door locks for. While you're at it, update your website because "open 24 hours" also includes 4:30 AM lasttime I checked. Read more
I haven't eaten at a waffle House for YEARS but my girlfriends' sister took us out to eat for my girlfriends' birthday there..... The food was okay, grits had hard places and chunks in it. But the bacon was good and they give you big slices, today was good..Girlfriend liked her waffles, said they had a great taste to it. Country ham isn't as salty as you would think it would be.Basic MAJOR issue I had was we saw our waitress once. Came in around 12:50 there were people waiting so we sat to wait as well. This is normal form Sunday. The staff then proceeded... to block off an entire section of the restaurant with customers waiting leaving only the bar and 3 booths. There were 6 peopleworking, if that?s what you call it. We have new coming here in Sunday?s for a long time and have dealt with the foul mouth ofthe staff, the fighting between each other of the staff, poor or non service because we have sat and watched many customersleave because they were not even asked to be waited on, and the just plain unprofessionalism. I mean it?s Waffle House and we?rein Lexington, we don?t have high expectations. But, to block an entire section with customers waiting, it?s just ridiculous. I don't think the employees even know the meaning of professionalism and good customer service. Every time I have went here all... they do is cuss, talk trash about their coworkers, and stop working to go take smoke breaks. Last time I was there the waitresswas having a screaming match with a customer, and the cops were called, and waited for an hour to get my food. Not to mention,most of the time it's a gamble whether or not you will get served. It's supposed to be 24 hours and they open and close wheneverthey feel like it. Or they tell you you can't place a to go order that you have to eat inside. Like people don't realize that'sa scam so they can try to get tips out of you. This place is a joke!! i feel like eating at home whenever i visit Waffle house. Lovely hash brown cooked in a super crispy!
Waitress was kind and helped the order cost less. However the only part of the place that was not blocked off was the three... booths beside the bathroom. The rest of the place was "closed." When a small family walked in soon after to be seated one ofthe staff asked them "are you sure you want to eat here?" Mind you, the three tables were filled with 4 people in total but theother side of the restaurant was available but closed off. The customers were totally confused and eventually the staff relentedand "let" them sit over there. I'm still not sure why this happened but whatever the reason, the presentation of the reasoncould have gone better. The food was actually pretty good but it came out 5 increments, which is a nuisance to eating a mealwith someone. Read more
Only eat breakfast there and have been eating there since I was very young and am older now. Breakfast is my favorite meal of... the day and you can eat it there any time of the day. It is excellent. Love going there. The only thing that I can say that doesbother me sometimes, is the Jukebox that they have there is very loud and the volume needs to be lowered. But as far as food,service and anything else, really enjoy eating there. Read more
