With all the good reviews, I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. That was hands down one of the worst meals I've ever had. Now,... this is nothing against the meat itself. What I could eat was moist and while not the most flavorful, the sauce was good on itand complemented it well. Just...fine? The slaw that was served on the sandwich and in the tray smelled absolutely rancid.Turned us completely off from the food. And other people around us got the same thing, so now I don't even understand what'sgoing on. Maybe we were just sensitive to some ingredient? Honestly just an odd and unfortunate experience. The service wasnice, price was cheap compared to what we're used to. But frankly if this is the "best BBQ in Lexington", I can't understand whyanyone talks about Lexington BBQ. Again, nice people, service was good and MAYBE it was just us. But the slaw smelled seriouslylike it was fermenting. Oh, and the hush puppies weren't the best either. Very nice had curb service was very prompt and courteous with the order and the delivery of the food did not have to wait long.... Got the food very very generous portions not bad price for the portions. I would return again that was very good barbecue. Read more
Best chopped Bar B Q I've had in Lexington in ages. Taste was great and piled the pork on. Waitress was excellent & staff very... friendly. We will be going back to Speedy's. Read more
I had the fried flounder sandwich. The waitress said it was large and it was! It has a whole piece of fish in it. It was two big... pieces. The hush puppies were delicious and the French fries were hot. My friend got the BBQ and it is always good. The waitressbrought each of us our drink and a little pitcher of drink for each of us so I could keep my sweet tea cup full ???? Read more
First time trying it out because of a friend's recommendation. Well burger was good but very small patty, bbq was big portion... but not very tasty, and hot dog was beef I think. Almost $14 probably worth $10. Read more
BBQ was a bit dry, better with the sauce. Slaw was great, and the potato salad was tasty. Several of the hushpuppies were cold... in the middle. Others were over cooked. One oddity is that even though they have contactless payment, you still have to handthem your card or device. The whole point of contactless payments is that you don?t handover your property to them. We always have a good experience at Speedy's the food is always good and you definitely get your money's worth ???? This is hog... heave 10 ? this place is as good as it gets and they'll bring you a fork with your sandwich cuz you going to need it don't takemy word for it look at my pictures. And on top of all that you always get excellent friendly service we love this place thankyou everybody at Speedy's 7/6/21 back again today we got 1 large BBQ salad 1 large order of hush puppies for me and my wife toshare and wow ???? it was unbelievable and totally awesome excellent quality quantity and service me and my wife both had morethan enough salad and hush puppies left after we finished eating we still have enough for lunch tomorrow you have to see thepics to believe me ???? thanks Speedy's Read more
Great BBQ the burgers are a little lacking but we are eating at a BBQ joint portions are huge One BBQ sandwich is about a pint... of BBQ and you get plenty of fries and there good overall a really good down home N.
