I didn?t expect to find such top notch food and drinks out of town in this quaint little place. Peaceful, quiet atmosphere in a... beautiful setting. This is our second time eating here, first for dinner and this time lunch. Both times we had great food andservice. We will be back! Read more

One of my very favorite meals during our trip to Kentucky! Their sweet tea was perfect and the corn bread was the best I've ever... had. I really recommend the bourbon chess pie while you're there. Read more

I am glad a coworker found this gem! Nestled at the corner of country crossroads is a Mecca of home cooking. I have been here... twice and will make the drive to keep coming here. They serve large portions of country cooking with desserts that a diabeticwill gamble on (I know because I am one). Friendly staff. Great facilities. I recommend the shrimp po boy and the KentuckyColonel boy. I also recommend the strawberry cake. Read more

I was introduced to Windy Corner by family as we were passing through KY. Wow! I like to pride myself on knowing where good... quality food can be found. This is now near the top of my list. Expect fast friendly service with high quality American fare. They have a great family atmosphere that is great as a casual lunch or dinner spot. Don?t make the mistake of eating too manyapps. Save room for the wide range of cookies, cake and pie. They have lots of products available for you to take home and enjoylike sauces and honey. I especially liked that they have some local craft beer for purchase. Read more

Learned about the Windy Corner Market while looking for places to eat during our overnight trip to Lexington. We just love out... of the way, hole in the wall places and this place didn't disappoint! It is the cutest little building nestled amongst a bunchof horse farms. When you go in you are greeted by smiling faces and fresh baked goods all on display by the register. The wallsare lined with locally made sauces, spice blends, honey, jams, beer, pickles...I could go on! The menu was surprisingly very outof the box for this country cafe. We shared the artichoke fritters, my wife had a po boy, and I had a burger smothered inbourbon barrel bacon jam and beer cheese!! Before we left we did purchase some local goods and a couple pieces of pie. Greatlittle stop that was worth every penny!! Read more

We were on the back porch for an event, and it was honestly perfect. Although it?s a screened porch (no ac), with the wind... blowing it was great. They had plenty of outdoor seating, as well as seating inside. We ordered fried pickles, beer cheese, andthe catfish basket. I only got a picture of the beer cheese because I wanted to remember what their bread things looked likebecause they were out of this world delicious. The fried pickles were great and the catfish basket came with fries and sauce. It was delicious. They have the larger ale8 bottles, so it?s even better. I would highly recommend trying! Read more

Food Fun Adventure Saturday first took us out to the Windy Corner. I think this place is a neat looking place with a lot of... outdoor seating. The staff is extremely nice. The food on the other hand is just not that good. We started with the friedpickles. The batter is not bad even if it was slightly salty, but they were fried to a golden brown. The pickles were thickerthan most fried pickle orders and the outside skin was very tough and hard to chew. They serve them with ranch dipping saucethat was decent though. I tried the Windy Corner burger and I added bacon jam. The bacon jam was okay, but I like mine a littlesweeter. The part that I found lacking was it was only on half of the burger and part of it dropped onto the basket soaking thebun and making it mushy. The french fries that were served with the sandwich were under cooked and mushy as well. We also triedthe Catfish sandwich. It was overcooked and rubbery. The sauce they out on the sandwich really did not have any taste and onlyadded a greasy taste to the sandwich. The same pickles were on both sandwiches, and they were still hard to chew. The breadhowever was not bad that the catfish was served on. The peanut butter cookie we tried was pretty good, and it is a hugecookie. This is the second time that we have tried this restaurant and I do not believe we will go back. Like I said everyone isextremely nice, and it is a cool looking place. I just do not feel the food equals the ambience or the location. Feel free totry this place out on your own. The fat man says it is Not Fat Man Approved. Read more
