Went to this Waffle House for breakfast and never was able to even get a seat. There were two tables empty but dishes from the... previous customers were still on the table. We stood for quite a few minutes and no one ever acknowledged us or cleaned thetables. Finally we got tired of waiting and left. This Waffle House advertises that they allow take out orders which they do not! Their website also advertises that the allow... take out orders which they do not. I feel like this is false advertising by Waffle House. Also, their new phone message clearlysays that they have limited take out orders to better serve in-house guests. They NEVER answer their phone and their websitetakes you to the corporate website. So, I went into the restaurant, sat at the food bar for 21 minutes before being greeted by alady with no teeth, and was told, ?We are not making any food for take out.? I said, I?m here so can I just order and then placemy food in a to go box, and the waitress says, ?Knowing that you want it to take out, we will not make your food.? So, I wasleft wondering if someone orders a meal from Waffle House, takes a few bites, has to leave and asks for a to go box are theyrefused that? I?m wondering if they were just refusing to serve me because of the color of my skin? I am thinking aboutcontacting a Civil Liberties Attorney. Read more
I know this is a waffle house and not fine dining. However when people can see how your cooking you might want to be sure you do... not cross contaminate food. It's also not overly difficult to get an order correct. Ordered hasbrowns with onions and cheese andthey gave me plain hasbrowns and would not remake them or give me a refund for the toppings. The service wonderful!!!! It was truly a BLESSING to encounter a staff such as this one. The manager runs a good ship. Mrs.... LaToya was truly a delight. It was edifying to have a great cook who not only fulfilled the needs on the griddle, but who alsoengaged us mentally and socially. Every server has a wonderful spirit. My husband and I went around 11:30pm, last night. The two woman working were exceptional! My double order of hasbrowns were so... yummy. The three eggs, cooked to the perfect over medium! The women?s personality and interactions with all of the guests reallymade for an enjoyable experience. Good food and great service means for returning guests. Great job ladies and thank you! I'm not exactly sure where to start. I'll start with the easy stuff I guess... As a chain restaurant you could definitely go... wrong WAY wrong. Hell y'all could go really really wrong or ALL the way wrong. But here is not the place to go wrong. Seems likethe folks that were working here on the day I was there were some of the best! They got us seated at a booth right away! Theytook out order right away! They got to cooking right away! They got us some hot and fresh food really fast and really tasty!Everything was good! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the bathrooms that could use some improvements.Everything else was as to be expected. It is after all just another chain restaurant with little concern for the folks workingor dining. It's all about the almighty dollars and cents for them. Overall it could have been worse.
