Reviews for The Tulip Bistro & Bar in Lexington, KY
We waited well over and hour for our food. We were seated outside on the patio and after being there for a hour it it started to... rain. They never offered to re- seat us indoors and basically didn’t even acknowledge that there was a problem until wecomplained. When we did finally complain, the manager got snippy with us because he had some large parties before us or somebullishit. In the end, they offered us a free dessert which we had no interest in at that point. We spent at least $200 on foodand drinks. How about some compensation for our time you wasted? With so many other fantastic restaurants in Lexington don’t(literally) Easter you time with these amateurs. Read more
We stopped in to celebrate a birthday and had a wonderful time! Every dish was absolutely delicious. We started with the sausage... crostinis, ate every bite and even split the last one. I mopped my plate of chicken and mushrooms over mashed potatoes clean. Mypartner had the special burger and fries and made himself miserable because he didn't want to leave any behind. Our waitress waswonderful and so sweet. We will be back! Read more
Such an amazing restaurant. We were visiting Lexington for a wedding and picked this place randomly the night we got into town.... I am so glad that we did. The braised short ribs and salmon were magnificent. And the creme brulee topped off a wonderful meal. Finally, our server, Dana, was so nice and accommodating. Read more

The Tulip Bistro & Bar was an absolute pleasure to eat at even on a packed Saturday night. Our food was amazing. The waitress... was extremely positive and upbeat and on top of everything. My pork chop was ridiculously good and that may have been the bestpotato cake that I have ever had. I ordered dessert first and their creme brulee was out of this world, even better than I hadhoped. I cannot recommend The Tulip enough. Read more
My boyfriend and I went to dinner at The Tulip the other night. We've been many times and it is always a wonderful experience.... Not pictured, we always start with the Sausage Crostini and keep the side of marinara it comes with to dip your bread in it! Ihad a salad and the mussels which were in a garlic white wine sauce that I would've drank from the bowl if we weren't in public. My boyfriend had the bone-in pork chop with a Bourbon glaze over smoked gouda grits and green beans. Everything was cookedperfectly and our server was professional and experienced in fine dining. We love it here because the food is as good as anyfine dining restaurant but the atmosphere is more like a neighborhood Bistro. Definitely recommend! Read more
Honestly this is now one of our top three restaurants. Timothy was our server and did a wonderful job. I ordered the steak... cooked to medium and it was amazingly tender and melt in your mouth good! Wifey had the salmon which was so moist and flavorful! To finish it off we had their creme brûlée topped with blueberries that was magnifique! Seriously recommend this place for anice date! Read more
Food took forever, over an hour. They blamed it on larger groups that arrived 15 minutes later than us. Table beside us arrived... 10 minutes after us and they got their food 10 minutes before ours. Our orders were not complicated and it should not have takenthat long. The manager was rude and did not compensate us in any way. We will not be returning. Read more
