I finally had the opportunity to eat there and I'm really impressed. I ordered the shrimp and grits. They were outstanding! The... shrimp was cooked perfectly and there just the right combo of flavor and spicy. I also got a chance to sample the crab cake. Also very tasty! Read more

This may sound wierd but if you like hot wings, you should try the catfish bites. I am not usually a fan of catfish but I... couldn't stop eating these things! Also the hushpuppies are like homemade. My Love and I enjoyed eating here and washing thedelicious food down with some of the many options of West Sixth beer. The nostalgia of the building is amazing. Fantasticbartenders and servers make the service here rival any in Lexington! Read more

Excellent fried catfish and hush puppies, but I didn?t care for the coleslaw. The catfish portions seemed small, but after... mentioning it the waitress, another larger fillet was given to me at no charge. Friendly service, good food, and a relaxedatmosphere made for an enjoyable lunch. I look forward to visiting again. Read more

Oh my! Don?t let the unassuming entrance or the counter area and walk up ordering area fool you- this is top notch grub!!!! We... ordered the catfish platter, house salad, salmon croquettes , and shrimp tacos. All were delicious! The catfish was not fishy atall and came with two sauces (banana pepper was the best!) The hush puppies had nice bits of onion and were deeply crispy. Wealso had the fried banana pepper rings- OMG- they were the best! The house salads were fresh and delicious with some Microgreens thrown in- the soy ginger dressing was perfect! We went to get a beer at West 6th street brewery not realizing when wewent in that it was sort of 2 establishments in one- beautiful concept! We enjoyed all of the food, service was great, willdefinitely be back! Read more

Delicious summer menu with many options that stay on the menu year round. Quick service, hot food and delicious. Salmon... croquettes were delish. The house salad was good but the ginger vinaigrette was the best. Shrimp taco was good. Fried bananapeppers were great too. Step over for a cider, ale, or IPA, from West Sixth, you won't regret it Read more

We had been hearing about Smithtown for months and decided to have dinner here while having a beer at West 6th. It was difficult... choosing what to order as the shrimp and grits battled fish and chips in my head, two of my favorites! In the end both myselfand my husband went with fish since beer goes so well with that. LOL We were very happy we did as it was fantastic! Very crispyon the outside and flaky inside, served with two flavor-filled hush puppies and my favorite kind of fries. And to beat all, eventheir ketchup and tartar sauce was excellent. ???????? My husband got the remoulade which had just a bit of heat, and Idefinitely I will get that next time. Read more

Very friendly and helpful staff. The food was not so enjoyable though, at all. My wife and I both ordered the fish and chips but... the single fish piece we each got was literally inches thick with an extremely greasy unflavored batter. The fries tasted goodbut were limpy even after coming directly out of the fryer. The slaw was dry and flavorless. It just seemed like shreddedcabbage and carrots period, no seasoning or mayo. The best part of the meal was the hush puppies. They were spot on and amazing. We love eating at Windy Corner and was hoping this would be equal, but sadly no. Sorry Smithtown, we will keep going back toWindy Corner. Read more
