This is the one and only Popeyes in Lexington, so expect long lines at the drive thru. It's quite good, though. Just be careful... with your order, as they love to forget about packing sauces for you and will always charge for any extra sauces you add to yourorder (0.25/pc). Read more
I went to this location around 8pm. The service was not horrible which is why I'm giving 2 stars. The reason for such a low rate... is that we found a bug in the red beans and rice. Update: I attempted to call 4 different times to speak to a manager. Thethird call was answered and hung up automatically. I tried back the 4th time and received no answer. No respectable human should go to this place or deal with this company. Very nice employees but that Doesn't feed anyone. They... never thought if changing location to a better looking, cleaner place. You have to wait forever. One store only. I went toparticipate in an app challenge and I wasted my time getting to work. My son and I drove 30 minutes to popeyes before our movie. We ordered the regular chicken strips and they said that they were... out. The employee said that they were frozen. I asked how long would it be and she said "a good while.". I asked how long wasthat and she said that she didn't know, a long time. I said well I may come back after the movie and would they have them. Theemployee said that she won't be there and she didn't know. (WHAT?). My son ordered only fries and the employee said that thefries are just as spicy as the spicy chicken (NOT). So we left. Second time at this location in 1½ years and still slow!!! Funny the sign said they were faster, but still took me 20 minutes... as the third car in line to get my food, and it wasn't even a busy part of the day! Their chicken is NOT worth that wait.Ordered simply a leg & thigh combo and the meat was as dry as white meat that had been sitting out. The mac & cheese noodleswere mush. The mashed potatoes had red beans & rice in it... Needless to say, my dogs ate good. You're blocked in drive-thrueven before ordering so it's not like you can leave. Had I had my truck I would've jumped the curb. This is ridiculous... notlike it's cooked fresh like Captain D's or fresh like Zaxby's... I'm not giving it a third try.
