I don?t know why I haven?t heard of this place before! It?s amazing- the lunch chicken shawarma was delicious, and I want to dip... everything I?ll ever eat again in that garlic sauce. The falafel was fried to crispy perfection on the outside. It?s the stuffof my dreams. Hummus was garlicky and great. My friend got the lentil soup, and we were both surprised at how bland it was,compared to the delectable bursts of flavor in all the other dishes. When I go back, I won?t order the soup. But everything elseis amazing, and the prices are reasonable, especially for the big portions they serve. I saved half my lunch for later, and itwas yummy reheated. Read more
BEST EATERY IN LEXINGTON! I vote this restaurant best in town. I have eaten here more than 20 times in a bit over a year, and... it has been ON POINT every time. 5/5 ?????????? Quality ingredients, friendly staff and it is ALWAYS clean. There is nevereven a single piece of rice on a table or chair when I walk in. Bathrooms are clean. It's absolutely clean in here. I can seethe hard work and feel the gratitude of the folks working here. It is an absolute pleasure to eat here. I've eaten here severaltimes with my girlfriend, my best friend from 5th grade, my mom when shes visited. I would bring my ex-wife and her boyfriend ifgiven the chance. The food here is THAT good. Although the food was good, it was way too overpriced. The pictures of the menu on google are incorrect, the price difference... significant. I ordered the falafel sandwich and a side of fries, the portion was small and it was $12! If I ordered meat, itwould?ve been worth to but they were just falafels. I have normally eaten at Athena's because they used to be closer to me over on Richmond Road. Friends have recommended Gyroz... recently, and I thought I'd give them a try. I was super hungry, so got both the regular gyro and the chicken shaworma. Iordered online and my order was ready by the time I got to the restaurant. Both were huge, and very delicious. First time trying this place out and it was fantastic! I ordered the traditional Lamb Gyro sandwich combo with French Fries and... a Drink. This combo was around $14.00. I placed the order and it was served less than 10 minutes later nice and hot! The Gyro isenormous and absolutely busting at the seems with meat and toppings! By itself it would be a solid meal but with the frenchfries added it was over the top. The french fries were lightly seasoned and I don't know if they slightly overcook on purposebut it worked for the fries making them very crispy and nicely seasoned.
