BEST fried chicken! Juicy, a little bit of spice, the batter is unique and crunchy. Fries were good. The coleslaw was on point.... Freshly made sweet tea was delightfully sweet. Some of the best fried chicken I?ve ever had. I like to think I?m a connoisseur at this point so I know good fried chicken when... I taste it. The spice, the crunch, the juice - I ate a full meal and asked for more for the road. We travelled about an hour anda half to get here and I?d happily do it again. So so good! You gotta get the greens perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. The chicken was so tender and delicious. Potato... salad and coleslaw also fabulous. OMG.... Y'ALL!!!! This place has some of the BEST fried chicken that Lexington has to offer. In my opinion it does have a... slight kick when you bite into it but ooooo is it yummy???? !!! Absolutely delicious! This was our first time trying Gus?s, and we loved it. All of the food was fresh, the restaurant was clean... with a neat atmosphere, and the service was wonderful. Our server kept our drinks full and checked on us multiple times while weate our meal. The chicken has a little spice to it but is not overwhelming. Our server said that the tenders are a goodalternative if you don?t like spicy. I also have to say that the price are not bad at all, very comparably priced to KFC orPopeyes, but at a much higher quality. Definitely check this place out the next time you are looking for chicken! Torn between 4 and 5 stars. Cooked fresh which is huge! Super hot and juicy. Good value. Love the super spicy flavors. Crust was... light like your grandmother's pan fried chicken. Great atmosphere even though we picked up. Personally I like a thicker breadinglike Popeyes, but I can't ignore that fresh cooked chicken is the only way to go.
