Went there for carry out on a Tuesday and it was busy. Ordered off the menu to go and had a margarita. The staff was friendly... and the service was excellent. Took my food home and it was very good. They sent along a green sauce, a spicy red sauce an salsaw/ chips. Reasonably priced and delicious! Read more

I have to say that my server was great, but he did put gratuity on our ticket and used the hand held toast without showing us a... ticket first, or even letting us know he put gratuity on our ticket. I am a manager of a restaurant and that is something thatwe have to let our guest know out of common courtesy. The food was good though. Read more

Food was good, chili rellinos were tasty- beans and rice actually had some flavor. Service was fairly fast, drinks kept filled,... margaritas were very sneaky- but delicious. Salsa was some of the best I?ve ever had- except they ran out and then brought somethat the server had ?found? in the fridge. Nowhere as good as the fresh stuff. Will be back! Read more

This was my first time trying El Rancho Tapatio and it was pretty average in my opinion. The food was not bad by any means but... there is definitely better options in Lexington for the money. I tried the Super Flautas and my son tried the chicken burritomeal. My biggest complaint was that the chicken was a little overcooked which resulted in it being dry. In their defense therestaurant was clean, the service was fast and friendly, and the place was packed, so they must be doing something right most ofthe time (like I stated before, this is my only time eating here and it?s hard to totally judge a place off of one trip). Thechips, salsa, and cheese dip were great, and there was a beautiful patio area outside. They had signs up that advertised liveMariachi music every Friday night. I?m definitely going to come back again and give them another try in the future. Read more

I asked for this Strawberry Dacquari---only if it could look EXACTLY like the pic in the menu.....PERFECT! The BEST one I think... I've ever had! The Guac is the bomb, and the food is even better. Great customer service & our meals came out in less than 10min! Don't think you'll be disappointed! Read more

This is the best Mexican restaurant in Lexington! I had guac and shrimp tacos. The portions were generous.

The shredded chicken and ground beef enchiladas were both wonderful! The salsa and guacamole were both delicious! The service... was excellent! I'd highly recommend trying El Rancho! Read more

I?m not sure how this place is so highly rated. Most of the reviews are without a shadow of a doubt fabricated. First off, we... waited a long time for the food to come out. The fajitas came out first. No sizzle and no color. It was the blandest fajitas Iever had. The lettuce on the side was wilted, the beans flavorless, barely any sour cream and no guacamole. No sauces of anykind. The tacos were bone dry. The tamales were the wrong kind. We ordered green chicken and we got pork. I ordered empanadasthinking they were regular size empanadas and my waitress gave no indication that they were anything other than ordinary. Theycame out after the fajitas not before and lo and behold they are behemoth diapers of grease. I took one bite and I wasdisgusted. I can?t believe they let me order 5. Luckily I only wasted money on one drink which was the most cloyingly sweethorchata. Everything sucks. I DEEPLY REGRET BRINGING MY FAMILY HERE ON CINCO DE MAYO. I will be living in shame for theunforeseeable future. STAY AWAY. This place is a disgrace to the Mexican community, and culture. Read more
