The food is well prepared, and portions are very large. The flavors were on point. True masters of the pit. Be sure to get... the spicey BBQ sauce. Aside from the food, the real key to this establishment is the people and service. It is as if there isno one owner. All the staff operates as an equal partner to ensure you?re satisfied. In my first visit there were so manyexamples for me to list. I watched as a man who was clearing tables interact with a customer. After a brief chat he went tothe kitchen and returned with an item they needed for their dinner. You just don't see that level of sincerity from staff. MyDad speaks of the old days, well I'm glad I was able to see it firsthand. The place is very clean and well maintained. A realdiamond in the rough. Can?t say enough about this place. This is now a regular stop for me when I?m not on tour. I highlyrecommend this for your next family BBQ outing. Read more

So disappointed in this location. Forgot half our order and didn?t even send bbq sauce. The food was not seasoned at all! The... cabbage was trash, the potato salad was trash. No onions peppers or pickles. Bread was hard! The location in Van Texas has thebest food and seasoning. This one is watered down bbq like Spring Creek. And we all know who eats there? NO ONE! Such a waste oftime and money. Read more

My grandmother recently moved in with me here in Lewisville and wanted barbecue for dinner a couple nights ago.. we have been to... this place 3 times within a week ! As she says it?s addicting! There meat is always so tender and sides are always filled up.They did forget one item the other day but was sure to make it up when we went back! My grandmother said this location is thebest out of all the locations she has been too! This will be my third time trying soulmans with the first time being the firstday my grandmother moved in a couple days ago and told me about it! We will always make this our quick to go to dinner when wefeel like having barbecue! Read more

I normally BBQ on my own due to the lack of seasoning and true BBQ with a good wood or charcoal to enhance. I was craving BBQ... on my lunch hour. Decided to try Soulmans BBQ. I tried to door dash and their was an error. No worries. I?ll drive. Got thereand let?s start with the customer service which is lacking these days. Customer service was excellent. Even at checkout Ireceived ?have a blessed day mam? may seem small to others but it made my heart smile. EVERYTHING was seasoned. The friedcabbage/ the corn/ the beans/ the meat was seasoned, tender, and just dang good. I will return to try other menu items that Iknow won?t disappoint?. Read more

Brisket was tender, ribs were good. Sides were meh, but that's not why I go to BBQ anyway. The sign is true, they are not stingy... with their meat. Will be back. Read more

I really, really wanted to like this place. The rustic, western decor was nice and the staff was pretty personable. Those are... the reasons why I even bothered giving two stars. The food itself was less than stellar. The brisket tasted as if it was tossedin a pan, covered, then put in the oven to steam until cooked. There was absolutely no flavor, and the bark traditionallyassociated with smoked brisket was absent. The slices were so thin you could almost see through it. I suspect it's because itwas baked/steamed in the oven which caused it to be chewy and hard to eat. The sliced turkey was also lacking. I was expecting anice, smokey bite but was given a taste of thick-cut walmart deli meat. The ribs were hit or miss. Some were cooked beyondrecognition, while others were perfect, tender, and had a nice bark. They offer two different sauces that I'm aware of. Both ofthe sauces are actually really good. I enjoyed them. They're both sweet, one with a spicy undertone to it. As far as the sides,I ordered a bean concoction with sliced jalapenos, onions, and tomatoes. That was decent with a little bit of spiciness to it.The coleslaw was lacking. It also tasted like pre-made slaw bought right off the shelf in Walmart. Overall, I'm disappointed inthe quality of food from this "BBQ" restaurant. I'm glad I tried it with a 50% off coupon so my near $50 order wasn't quite thatexpensive. Unfortunately, I'm writing this review, not only as a warning to others, but as a reminder to myself not to return. Read more
