I hate to give a place I have enjoyed in the past a bad review. I understand a place being short staffed and having to wait.... What I don't understand is a hostess that is sitting at the bar drinking beer with her girlfriends while I witness 5 tableswalk out because of lack of service. Awesome dinner tonight. John was our waiter. He was fantastic. He Recommended fish and chips, and the steak, and it was... great. Not over battered or over cooked. Excellent out of the way pub! I went mid-afternoon and there were only a few people at the bar. Great atmosphere, TVs over the... bar so you can watch some sports. Bartender was super nice. I had the fish and chips and a Tito's Moscow Mule with cranberryjuice. The fish was amazing! Not the frozen kind you get at the store, there was a lot of fish, battered and crispy. Lovely place for a sip and bite. Of course, get the fish and chips. You can add parm and garlic seasoning to those fries. The... fish was cooked perfectly, crispy battered, moist flaky fish. We made that into an pre-meal snack. The Portabella burger hadgreat flavors. Full size, and very filling. The chicken and corn chowder was warm and delicious. Add crab meat for extra luxury. Super laid back pub style place with tasty dishes. Nice variety of choices for light and hearty appetites. Our waitress was... friendly and wonderful to our 3yr old. Burgers advertised as "best in Delaware". Can't vouch for the truth of statement but they were really excellent burgers. My wife... and I had the burgers. Even did a custom burger for me (Bacon Blue Cheese... Yum!!) My adult kids went for fish and chips. Chipswhere good, fish, not so much. Stick with the burgers and it's 5 stars all the way! Read more
