This coffee house/scratch kitchen is super close to my house. I've been wanting to try it out for awhile. I was super... overwhelmed with how busy it was, I was surprised I was able to find seating. The line was moving super quickly though. Iordered the cranberry walnut toast with a smokehouse caramel latte. The toast had little chunks of sea salt inside of it, wassuper delicious and it wasn't super sweet either, which was great, I hate sweet toast because usually I can't finish it, butwith this one I was able to finish the whole thing! I was a little bummed about my caramel latte. It tasted burnt. To be honestI have a love hate relationship with it I don't know if I like it or not. Definitely will be coming back, maybe in theafternoon when they won't be as busy and so I can try different flavors! Read more

I?m visiting from Chicago and this was my first time at Black Dog. My dad talked it up and they did not disappoint! Service and... recommendations were on point! The gentleman behind the counter recommended the Kouign-amann pastry which is absolutely amazing.Also had the Specialty Snickers latte. They left me wanting more with service, but over all I felt like it was a bustling eatery. Loved the goat cheese bear claw.... However the Americano... not so much. Guess I prefer a bolder espresso bean than what was offered at the time... although wedid double the shots (quad) that was offered ???? Read more
We ordered a chai latte, dirty chai latte, Club Sandwhich, and Sunrise Sandwhich. All of it was excellent, and the food was very... flavorful. Definitely recommend it. All the bread for the sandwiches are made in house and it all tastes great. Read more
Love the space and energy. Eventhough the place was packed our drinks were made with care and fast!! we got hot chocolate with... shatto milk , snickers cold coffee with shot of expresso. Great coffee and even better baked goods! Came here to relax, enjoy some coffee, and eat some delicious food. This place does... not disappoint! Person behind counter seemed annoyed I was there and barely looked or spoke to me. I don?t ask for much, but there?s a reason I... left the east coast and moved back to MO and it?s not to be served attitude.
