This coffee house/scratch kitchen is super close to my house. I've been wanting to try it out for awhile. I was super... overwhelmed with how busy it was, I was surprised I was able to find seating. The line was moving super quickly though. Iordered the cranberry walnut toast with a smokehouse caramel latte. The toast had little chunks of sea salt inside of it, wassuper delicious and it wasn't super sweet either, which was great, I hate sweet toast because usually I can't finish it, butwith this one I was able to finish the whole thing! I was a little bummed about my caramel latte. It tasted burnt. To be honestI have a love hate relationship with it I don't know if I like it or not. I?m visiting from Chicago and this was my first time at Black Dog. My dad talked it up and they did not disappoint! Service and... recommendations were on point! The gentleman behind the counter recommended the Kouign-amann pastry which is absolutely amazing.Also had the Specialty Snickers latte. They left me wanting more with service, but over all I felt like it was a bustling eatery. Loved the goat cheese bear claw.... However the Americano... not so much.
