New to the area we decided to try several items on the menu. We had ribs, wings, tenders, mac n cheese, beans and hush puppies.... Not a single item was disappointing. We will definitely be back. Ordered take-out from here for dinner. The Brisket was very good (5 star). The chicken was on the dry side. The sides were hit... and miss, some good and some bad. Not impressed with the mac and cheese. Other members of our group got the ribs and pulled porkand said they were good. They have a variety of sauces you can get. The ribs here are outstanding. From the flavor to the texture are all top tier. the ribs just fall of the bone and are very well... seasoned. The restaurant is quite spacious and very clean. There are a few tables on the sidewalk to sit at. We got take-out and the... service was very slow. The brisket is ok, several sauces to try. The potato salad lacks flavor and the consistency is...odd. Didnot like the baked beans at all. Read more
Just as amazing as the smokehouse in southport. Didn't know that this little secret was in Leland. Happy that there is a... smokehouse closer to Wilmington. Must say the staff are amazing. This one has so much more space and is more modern. I reallyenjoyed that. The one on Southport is very small. So I'm glad that I found this one so I can go at any time. The brisket and hush puppies were very good. The fried okra was good. My wife had the ribs and rated them ok at best. She did... not like the potato salad. She thought the green beans were pretty good. The booth we sat in had a tear in the seat. Read more
