This place is straight up delicious. Definitely a little overpriced for the amount of food you get but..when it tastes this good... it's hard to complain. Also, I laugh at the people who complain that the fish was frozen. You live in Utah...what do youexpect? Besides, previously frozen fish is actually the safest way to eat raw fish as it kills any parasites. Read more
Nice work laid back poke shack. Food is quite good. I got a bug in my ear yesterday at the pool talking about fish tacos. ... Well, the lunch search today didn't turn up the fish tacos, but poke sounded mighty fine. Food was delicious, staff wasfriendly, and there was no wait at 1215pm. All good. Staff recommended pier 38 dish, so that's what I got. Watched him whipit up with what looked like good fresh ingredients. The combo of onion, pineapple, seaweed, and Poke was very good. Got the laid back bowl. Pork - 5/5 Tuna - 3 Shrimp -3.5 Had a few bites that tasted ?fishy?, so it didn?t seem as fresh. It may... have been the juices the shrimp was stored in maybe that got poured on? Some good sauces, I think for the pork is what it wasfor. Food was not bad, but I dare say the fish had been frozen at one time. Tables were not clean but there was only one person... working who was very nice and doing the best she could without help. The smoked squid was really good. The Ahi was ok. Read more
The California signature bowl was really good. Yummy flavors and good fish. Laid back signature bowl was good.
The food here is incredible! I love how the spam musabi was made fresh and not pre-made. There are many options to choose from... and I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. I felt like I was back on the islands. I will be back for more food in thefuture. Read more
Delicious, wholesome and healthy. They weigh your food. Friendly service. My only concern is that I was so very careful about... what I ordered, yet, had an allergic reaction. Throat started closing, eyes watering, nose running. Maybe go even moretransparent on whatever ingredients are in the items out of the norm? Brown rice should have been fine, ahi tuna, pineapple,green onions. I purposely avoided the things I have allergies to ???????????. Otherwise, two thumbs up????????. Read more
Went at the recommendation of a friend. I love sushi and sashimi, but I've avoided poke because it just looks a little much. I... was pleasantly surprised. So good. I got the surf and turf bowl, substituted shoyu for ginger (because they said the gingerwas sweet). I also got some wasabi sauce on the side. Fantastic. I wish I had taken a picture, but it honestly doesn't lookappetizing anyway. But it was incredibly good. Well be back! Read more
