Great quality food, fast service. Clean and well presented. $5 draft pints of locally brewed beer was great as well

I am not sure if the waiter could speak english. When asked questions, he grunted. When asked if he liked the soccer game on... television, he grunted. The coffee was old. The 'special' was uninspired. Read more

Had the butter chicken which was literally inedible soo much curry and the chicken was rubbery we called them and asked if it... was really spicy? To our reply No it's not but even if you like curry it's an overload and we literally threw out both orders! That's a lot of money to just throw away! So disappointed but I will try other menu options Read more

I ordered butter chicken take out 2 different times and both times it was aweful. Chicken was not fresh , must of been cooked... from frozen. They should take out chicken and thaw l it, not make to order. Very chewy chicken. And rice was not fresh. I'vehad better. I will not order this item again. Read more

The food was a huge disappointment. There was absolutely no difference in taste between the chicken biryani and the butter... chicken as they used the same spices and sauce. The meat itself was rubbery in texture and inedible. The Chef's Bite burger cameslathered in mayo heavily with white onions tasting of nothing else. My family will not be coming back again. After a ride out in the country to escape the city, we were looking for a small town diner to satiate our appetites. We'd passed... Chef's Diner on our drive but from the outside? The place looks suspect in the sense that I envisioned a dark, old-cigarettesmoke-laden, VLT riddled greasy spoon kind of dive. We'd perused the menu online and found they had vegetarian fare! We took arisk. My gosh! This place was a surprise! One of the best vegetarian burgers (see enclosed photos) I've had in a long time (andDOUBLE patties). My co-diner had the poutine with curried butter sauce which was incredible! I kept stealing fries from theirplate. The spices in the sauce were delicious; even a hint of cinnamon and the sauce was ever so spicy. This place is an houroutside of the city but we are bound to return for another visit soon! Refreshing beer on tap and very friendly staff! OH! Theplace turned out to be bright, very spacious, huge windows (which strangely, you cannot see from outside due to the windowcoverings they have) and a clean, sparse wooden interior. We watched the sunset from the big windows while enjoying ourmeal. Looking forward to being back! Read more
