We just paid our membership fee for the second year but only because it?s worth it to us for the use of the dock. We attended... the brunch several times last year and liked it. This year however, it?s SUCH A RIPOFF! Expensive, cold and completelyunhealthy. Have been to the beach club a couple of times as well. The service was horrible! The shrimp was tasteless andrubbery! For a better breakfast go to Waffle House. For better service go just about anywhere else! Read more
I have tried to enjoy this place but the outside restaurant is ridiculous. We arrived at just befor 3 pm on a Sunday fresh off... the lake. We are members and also pay 1800 per year to dock our boat there. We were just eating a late lunch. Only one othertable seated when we arrived 15 minutes after another small group came in and sat down. About 5 minutes later the waitressstanding at the bar went over to get there drink order. I then waived her to our table to ask if we could get some service (hadbeen there about 20 minutes at this point...not kidding). She informed us that she was only one person. I said ok what about oneof the other waitresses walking around near the stage. She informed me they were setting up for a function. I ask her then ifwe should just go somewhere else and she said she was going to get some help. I swear there were only 3 tables occupied at thispoint and I could see 3 waitresses walking around doing very little if anything. Finally Hannah came over from the otherrestaurant and got us some drinks and took our order. I just chalked it up to bad timing and decided not to complain and justenjoy our day. Unfortunately it took over half an hour to get the first of our food. We had 8 people in our party. After 30minutes or so she brought out food for 2 of us then after another 6 or 7 minutes for 2 more of us then the table behind us got 1of there meals then about about 6 or 7 more minutes we got 1 more of ours then a new table got 1 of there?s then a few moreminutes later Hannah came out to apologize that it was taking so long for hamburgers then about 5 minutes later we finally gotthe last of our meals. What kind of place is this? Serious management problems and huge organizational issues. We dropped ourmembership a couple of years ago due to very poor service and it seems that this just will never change. The prices are way tohigh for average food and poor service. This is the second time we?ve been here and will be the last. The first time we dined inside and the service was great but we... waited almost 2 hours for our food. The pasta I received had no sauce and was very overpriced. We decided to give it another tryat the beach bar which was worse than the first experience. We waited for over 30 minutes to get our drinks which we had to getfrom another waitress. The beach bar was not busy at all as there were only about 6 tables total and 3 waitresses. We waitedanother hour for our food which consisted of two bacon chicken wraps and 2 orders of wings with wing chips. When we finally gotit, there were no wing chips, no bacon on either wrap and we got grilled chicken instead of fried. The waitress went back to getour order corrected and after 30 more minutes of no food we just asked for our checks to leave which included all of the foodthat was all incorrect. Never did we receive an apology from anyone including our waitress. This will be the last time we comeback here. If you are going to charge memberships to an establishment please make sure your customers receive the service theydeserve and the food they order in a timely manner. Read more
The food was great, and the service was great. A really nice place to have on this end of the lake. They are a private club, but... the convenience, quality of food and entertainment are well work the cost of membership. They also have a boat ramp and dock,that is free to members. They have gas at the dock with a discount for members. Read more
just closed on some property just down the street. Were excited to try this place out as everyone told us how good it was. ... Went there on a Saturday night. only 4 tables outside had guests and only a handful of tables inside had guests. Our food tookalmost 90 minutes to arrive and when it did, we were extremely disappointed. Our waitress kept apologizing for the delay,indicated she would bring more bread while we waited and kept making up excuses "why" the kitchen was so far behind (trainingnew staff, had a large group come in right before us, etc.). We never did get our bread and when the food finally came, it wasawful. The pasta dish was tasteless, overcooked (pasta falling apart, soggy vegetables) and no seasoning on the food. We alsotold the staff that we wanted to become members and someone told us they would bring us the paperwork before we left. We nevergot the paperwork. We were so hopeful, but so disappointed in our experience. It was our fist weekend at the lake and we spentour money on sub par food and service. Read more
As new residents to Leesville, we eagerly awaited your grand reopening (it's a lovely property, in a prime location). We have,... however, been surprised by the poor food quality, each time we have visited. Although the servers are all very sweet and kind,the food left a lot to be desired: mushy mussels, soggy asparagus, frozen bread, cold pasta, a piece of plastic in my taco'ssalsa, etc. On a positive note, my favorite menu item, the Club Salad, is creative and has always been delicious. I have had the pleasure of living at one of the cabins while I was working in the area for a few months. The entire time there,... I felt like family. The resort food is excellent. The buffalo dip is like crack. The prime rib is the best prime rib on earth(blackened, and only occasional). Adjacent to the resort are some great fishing spots too, and if you stay at the cottage youget a boat slip to use. If you are looking for a place that has their prices maybe a little higher than the average to keep therednecks out...this is your place. The other reviews that complain about pricing don't take that into context. If you want a 5dollar burger, go to McDonald's...don't book a stay or a visit to a place that calls itself a resort on a lake. My decision tostay here while working has been one of the best decisions I have made. I made great friends, and caught a lot of fish...not tomention the 5 star food & service that I received. This place has so much potential! It is a beautiful setting and the facilities are very nice. But the food is hit or miss and... unfortunately mostly miss. We are members for the second year because we really want this place to be successful. We liveclose by on the lake and desperately want somewhere to go for dinner and drinks. It is so nice to have the beach and the rampbut that can't keep them open all year. We will try again a few more times. We REALLY want this to work. But they have GOT toimprove the food service.
