When I walked by this place earlier in the day, I saw they had a Green Egg grill in the front window. I thought something like... "oh, that place probably knows what they're doing!" without thinking to note the name. Later that evening when looking forreviews of where to eat, we decided to head to Trungos, which to my delight, was the place we had walked by earlier. I had anawesome pulled pork grilled cheese with candied jalapenos and garlic mashed potatoes. I also got to try some of their bratwurstwhich was also amazing. It had really great coriander flavor which is my favorite seasoning for sausage. The staff was alsovery courteous and attentive. Very happy we decided to have dinner, and look forward to visiting again the next time we're inthe area! Read more
Trungo's is such a fun place to dine-in. My husband and I were concluding a great evening adventure in Leesburg and decided to... try Trungo's for dinner. We were greeted warmly as soon as we entered and shown to a table. We did not have a reservation andI think our timing was perfect because there was a wait not long after we arrived. I ordered a Knot Head hard cider, which waslocal to Virginia and their specialty cheese stuffed ravioli. My husband ordered a beer and their pulled pork bbq dish. Wealso had a couple mini desserts to round out the evening. Everything was delicious. From the taste of the homemade pasta tothe smokiness in the pulled pork. The staff is really friendly and attentive. There is local artwork for sale on display aswell. I definitely recommend Trungo's to anyone who finds themselves looking for a bite in Leesburg. I almost hesitant to post this review for fear that I won?t be able to get a seat next visit! Trungo?s is a hidden gem. This... was my second visit and it was even better than the first time. I received some intel about heading to the underground on the1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month. Last visit we saw the Loudoun Jazz Ensemble and tonight was Swing Shift. The regularrestaurant is closed, but the place to be is downstairs and it was standing room only tonight. The band was on! We had a tableof about 14 friends meet up - some had been there before and others were new to the venue - but everyone was, pardon the pun,blown away. Local gem where one can taste the homemade greatness and love baked into every dish. Are you tired of big chain restaurants with... soulless overpriced microwaved meals? Come to trungos and you will taste and feel the difference. A unique, carefully craftedmenu with both tasty and healthy options for all palates. This was a tough one. Giving 4 stars because the waitress was nice and because I ate everything. But make no mistake, Kraft... macaroni and cheese should never show it's face on a $28 plate. The Mac and cheese was 100% made from powdered cheese, not sureif it was just tonight or if it's always made this way, but if I were the chef, I'd be embarrassed. Read more
