I am leaving the Google Review here as the Hy-Vee store will not reply or respond to my direct contact with them as was... promised: I have been a regular customer at the Lees Summit Hy-Vee for 6 years now. The past 12 months have been absolutelyhorrendous & ridiculous regarding the huge remodeling project that lasted for about 9 months. In addition, the on-line ordersbeing fulfilled by store employees take up entire aisles so the live, in-person customers have to turn around and go elsewhere. This is becoming more & more commonplace each day. This is unacceptable especially since there are so many senior citizens inthere. And thirdly, while I understand this new age Self-check out, it's also aggravating & frustrating. Having said this, Iwent through regular check out the other day and the POS cashier wouldn't give me my receipt and, and I had to reach up, over, and down to get my stuff which was laying right in front of her. She apparently was incapable of performing menial customerservice by handing me my just bought stuff. I have grown to hate Hy-Vee. Most others store aren't much better. Just Hy-Vee seemto be leading the way with ineptness and huge lack of customer service. EDIT as of 11/11/2022: Still a One-star Review. OnNov. 11, 2022, I spent almost $200 for a small buggy of grocery items for only 2 people. But in addition to the high prices, this whole day?s experience is totally UNACCEPTABLE! Hy-Vee?s slogan ought to be more reflective of its actual storeenvironment: ?A Pile in Every Aisle!? Today?s store condition is not only a one-time mess, but a regular condition on a veryregular basis. Why? Because: 1 - Pallet after pallet after pallet (NO EXAGGERATION!!) of merchandise clogs EVERY aisle acrossthe entire store; 2 - Online order carts fill in the remaining free space that the pallets don?t take up; 3 - So many employeesare wandering around that apparently online orders are more important than real, live, in-person PAYING customers are consider Read more

Shopped at this store Saturday, October 29. They had one cashier on checkout. The line was extremely long. Against my better... judgment, I opted for their self checkout. The man at the checkout next to me and myself, both had multiple issues with ourcheckout that required the employee responsible for this section to come and assist. She was extremely unfriendly with adefinite attitude. This attitude seems to be prevalent in many Hy-Vee employees at this location. It?s a beautiful store but itwill be a long time before I return. You can find some good deals, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go here.... The store set up is confusing, and where they put... certain products makes no sense. For example, Noosa yogurt is not where all the other yogurts are in the dairy section... theykeep it in the health department section. Makes no sense. Read more

I'm updating my review from 3 to 4 stars... After my initial post, within a few hours I received a reply from Hy-Vee corporate.... Thank you. Today I received a call from this Hy-Vee store's customer satisfaction manager. I REALLY appreciate the call. Yetanother reason I like this store. Here's the bottom line and it checks out...they are trying to get more staff (see image), butlike many businesses, finding people to fill open positions is really hard. Anyway, thanks for responding, it's muchappreciated. *****ORIGINAL POST***** 3-Stars @Hy-Vee we are loyal Pharmacy customers and love your pharmacy staff, however, weneed you to support your pharmacy staff better by providing more trained staff to support what appears to be increased business. Lately, prescriptions transmitted from Dr. offices in the morning are not ready by early evening. Please get your pharmacystaff more help. Read more

Increasing price with decreasing quality and selection of grocery items. I don?t see the need to come to Hy-Vee to get... clothing or home goods. On top of that they seldom have more than just a couple of check out lanes with cashiers and hardlyhave baggers anymore opting for the self check out lanes which are incredibly inconvenient if your getting more than just a fewitems. They are particularly annoying when you are getting produce and the single person attending the self check outs has toverify 1/4 of your items because the scales aren?t working correctly. I miss the ?helpful smile in every aisle? instead it?sfull of larger carts taking up the whole area for personal online shoppers. Read more

Ads are very deceptive, Counters show a sale price but it is disputed at checkout. I've shopped at this store for a long time... and I don't try to get something for nothing and I do not appreciate being made to feel as if I'm starting trouble simplybecause I asked for the sale price your store put on the counter! I?ve never been to a Hy-Vee! I was so thoroughly impressed! They have absolutely everything! An enormous organic food selection,... but also regular items like Diet Coke. There is a restaurant. And a fantastic wine and spirits section. Furthermore, theirpharmacy is organized, and Eli B. was so kind and helpful. The store is extremely clean and the associates are happy. My newfavorite grocery store, pharmacy and winery. Read more

I grocery shop at all of the chains but overall this is my favorite. In our opinion they have the best rotisserie chicken... available. This is the only place I can find Starbucks Cinnamon Dolce coffee. We are addicted to the Pineapple Ham from thedeli. They have a good selection of gluten free foods. I have had a prescription filled here when I needed something on aSaturday and the. Walgreens pharmacy isn't open on Saturdays anymore. I have used the access to the St Luke's health system atmy store as well. This is a very good full-service store. Read more
