What a great place! It's in a strip just off of Douglas St., South of St. Luke's East. I'd been near it many times but never... noticed it. Open for breakfast and lunch with some wonderful dishes that go beyond the usual. I had the grilled chickenscramble; eggs, chicken, veggies over breakfast potatoes and covered with Hollandaise sauce. Very meh. I would normally expect poached eggs on a Benedict, but wasn't super bothered by that. The food tasted pretty good but... it took three trips for the server to bring our food. (2 adults, 2 kids). The interior was dark and drab. We were there when itwas pretty slow and they sat six tables all next to each other on the wall which was very annoying because we have two smallkids. Really good!! Didn?t have coffee this time so no rating on that. Had the crab omelette. Was very good for a few bites but the... crab was more like tuna. Besides, everything else was wonderful!! The biscuits and blueberry syrup was the best thing I?ve evereaten!! Read more

We arrived on Sunday about 11:45am because there was an hour wait at The Shack. It was unremarkable. Service and seating was... good, very simple and clean environment. Menu was pretty simple, a few interesting options. Plain coffee $2.75? Breakfastburrito had lots of interesting ingredients but was rather bland, fried potatoes on the side were good. The food and our server, Jake, was amazing. He had many suggestions for us, he was also very attentive. My boyfriend got the... west coast omelette, which was lovely. I got the crab Benedict? real crab inside with andouille sausage. Ginger sues hollandaisesauce is on POINT. We also tried their seasonal pumpkin pancake and their sweet/spicy corn soup, both were fantastic. 10/10recommend. Read more
