My wife and I had a wonderful time at the 1844 restaurant yesterday 7-2-22 celebrating our 34 wedding anniversary. The meal we... were served was excellent and the ambiance quaint and charming. Both of us where wanting a very relaxed and quiet dinner and wewe're not disappointed. The staff was pleasant and accommodating and we got our appetizers, salads and entrees very quickly.Both of us were very pleased with the evening we spent there and would like to once again share our compliments to the chef aswell as the owner of the establishment and our waitress for marvelous anniversary meal. I would reccomend the 1844 restaurant toall who wish to have a delicious meal in a quaint country setting away from the hustle and bustle of the city anytime. We doplan on visiting again hopefully in the near future! And I do suggest the Crem brulee and the New York cheesecake with raspberrytopping for desert!???? Read more
I hope to never change my mind about this place. Ive been coming here for about 20 years, now it is by far the best it's ever... been. My husband and I dined here about 2 weeks ago and it had been a few years since we had been here. At first I had stickershock by the prices of meals, I didn't remember it being that much. I ordered the prime rib and blackened swordfish, my husbandhad a filet and lobster tail. They came with delicious steamed carrots that had a hint of natural sweetness and rustic lumpysmashed potatoes. ???? EVERYTHING was exquisite ???? ?????
