We were on our mini anniversary vacation. And heard so many great things about the restaurant and decided to give it a try. When... I tell you the staff is awesome, the owner is wonderful, and the food is fantastic! The owner came by our table chatted with usand we informed him that we were celebrating our anniversary and he taken care a portion of the bill. We greatly appreciatedthat. Went there to have a nice dinner, Wow the food is horrible, Mine supposed to be grilled grouper, It was like rubber and looked... microwaved NO GRILL MARKS. Just white jelly look. The mixed seasonal vegetables are most liking from a bag looked old. The worstfood I have ever had. My husbands was had no flavor and over cooked.. The server was nice she took care of us. The food it justnot good and very over priced for what they serve. the cushions on seats ripped and old and serve drinks out of plastictumblers...This is supposed to be a nice restaurant???? Appreciated the two waitress for our big party, first time visitors. Food was okay, same reply around the table. "It was... alright" had the shrimp and oyster plate and strawberry margarita. Drink didn't have a lot of flavor, didn't order another one.Not from the area so I will not return anytime soon.. Read more
Yesterday was my 3rd time going to Southshore Grille. I was having a craving for a Cuban Sandwich and in this area there aren't... many options. Southshore Grille has the best Cuban I've found (I live in San Leon) within reasonable distance. My son had thegrilled Mahi off of the lunch menu and said it was really good as well. Read more
Atmosphere Nice quiet casual dining experience with indoor and outdoor dining. Overall the restaurant was pretty... clean. Service Our waiter was friendly but being that he was new he did not fully know the menu or have any suggestions exceptfor the lunch menu. When we did have a question he went and found the answer so that was nice. Food Chicken saladsandwich There was a good amount of filing, comes on a plain bun but overall a solid choice. Didn't take any pineapple in thechicken salad though. Chicken and shrimp Havana 2 thin Chicken pan cooked with 3 large shrimp on top. The chicken had a bellpepper sauce which was nice, the chicken was juicy and the shrimp were grilled nicely. Creamed spinach Very flavorful withoutbeing too heavy or thick Garlic green beans These were cooked well but very plain Key lime pie Good lime flavor custard butthe crust was a dry crumble. Overall Solid place with a huge menu. Prices are a bit high compared to the quality but not toocrazy. They have daily lunch specials for $8.50 so we will need to try one of those next time. We would like stop in again.But not the kinda place that makes you say I have to have that again tomorrow. Read more

We're already making plans to go back! The white chocolate cheesecake with blueberry is off the chain! OMG! ???? Hope they keep... it on the menu. This place is a hidden Gem. Great price amongst over priced establishments, for better service and wonderfulquality of food. My Country Fried Steak turned out to be Chicken Fried Chicken. I was totally enjoying it, and wasn't going tosay anything. The Misses mentioned it and on the house got my Country Fried Steak. Both was beyond Delicious!
