Went here yesterday and when you walk in, it?s return of the living dead. No one greets you, the servers looking like your... nothing them? they had a box gloves on the counter and I guess there for decoration cause not one of them put on any to mix orserve the ice cream. The young gentleman yawned on his hand and continued to fix someone?s ice cream without washing his hands.This place is in so many health code violations it?s crazy, but whoever the manager is seems to be fine with this and owner to.Won?t be going back to this one for sure. I went to this ice cream store today, Thursday at 8:30 pm and I had a bad experience with the server. The schedule says that... they close at 10pm but they had cleared the tables. When I took one of the chairs to sit down the server told me with attitudethat I have to go and sit outside because she was alone and had already cleaned. I told her that was not the way to talk to aclient and she start to argue with me saying that she did not have employees, that she had her children at home and she couldnot continue cleaning. I told her that was not my fault that she should speak with the manager and, for my surprise, thatdisrespectful person told me that she was the manager. I can?t explain how people like that are managers. Finally I am payingpart of your salary. If you can?t deal with people close your store, stay at home with your kids and don?t try to make othersresponsables of your problemas. Read more

It had been a long day and I was looking forward to some Marble Slab on the way home. As more than one other reviewer said, as... soon as I walked in the door, dirty water and cleaning products were the first things that I smelled. I walked up to the counterand noticed the woman was cleaning the stainless doors under the counter on the back wall. She mumbled something over hershoulder and kept cleaning. I stood there so long that I thought maybe she said "we're closed" and I just didn't hear her orsomething. After waiting close to 5 minutes for her to stop what she was doing, she finally turned around and asked "what do youwant" without ever making eye contact. I told her that I was torn between cheesecake and sweet cream and asked if I could pleasetry the sweet cream. She told me that they don't offer samples. Since when does Marble Slab not offer samples? I told her thatwe've been coming there since it opened and have always gotten samples. She responded back "well I've been here since thebeginning and we've never given samples". I decided to go ahead and get the sweet cream and the flavor that my wife wanted. Onceshe finished making our cones I realized that she had never washed her hands after cleaning. She quickly threw them together,including packing excess ice cream on the outside of the cone. She actually made mine with a broken cone. It was still 30minutes until closing, but it was very obvious that she wanted me gone so she could finish cleaning and go home. She carried ona conversation with her coworker in a foreign language for much longer than any communication with me, which was extremely rude.There are other places to get ice cream, and another Marble Slab not too terribly far away where the service is MUCH better. Iwill never step foot in this location again, and would strongly suggest that others do the same. We work hard for our money. Weneed to spend it with a business that cares about us as customers. Update: Apparently they respond and act concerned and ask you to contact customer service for sake of appearance. I emailed... customer service as they requested below and even included my phone number and received no response from them. We used to lovethis location, but it has really gone down hill in service. First of all, as soon as you enter the door you're smacked in theface with the awful smell of mothballs. That's just gross in a food establishment. On February 20th I went to pick up a cookiecake in the middle of the day and the door was locked. There was another customer already there frantically knocking on the doorand calling the store number. A man finally came and let us in with no explanation about the doors being locked. It was weird.Today I took my daughter for an after school treat. I got a waffle cone and wanted one scoop of two different flavors one on topand one on bottom. The menu says unlimited mix ins but the employee said both flavors would have to be mixed together and sharethe same mix ins. What is the point of getting two flavors if they're just going to be mixed together? I told her I get the sameexact thing everytime at two other local locations as well as this location normally everytime I go, but she wouldn't budge. Itwas ridiculous. You would think with all the businesses suffering from the pandemic they would be going the extra mile to givegood customer service, but not this location. Sadly, we won't be back there. We will choose the other League City location wherethey are always nice and friendly and smells like ice cream. Read more

I took my family here walked in the door at 7:45 knowing they closed at 8 the woman had all ready cleaned everything ant told us... all we could have was just ice cream with no toppings!! We were there to reward our 4 year old daughter, we were able to talkthe woman server who I presume was the owner being a middle aged adult into sprinkles only on her ice cream. However the rest ofthe group did not get anything due to the server limiting our selection and being short with us. This is disappointing that wehave businesses like this in my hometown! We love this place & it's a regular spot of ours for an ice cream fix. The lady who helps us is always friendly & they now sell... the great American cookie cakes etc. You can't go wrong with the sweet cream or birthday cake flavors. The boys love the bluecotton candy flavor with sprinkles or gummy bears added. The coffee & cookies-n-cream shakes are good too. Read more
