Literally the worst pickup experience I?ve ever had, that?s that?s saying quite a bit. For starters, I was picking up some soup... for my boss, and I couldn?t even get the front door open. Customers had to help me, while the staff watched in amusement. So Ipick up $8 worth of soup, which the staff member just motioned to for me to grab myself. I get back to work, and I realizethey?ve literally just put a tiny (about half a cup) of soup in a bag, with no napkins, plastic ware, nor crackers. So we callto ask about it, and they answer the first time. They literally said ?I don?t know?, then hung up. After that they wouldn?tanswer the phones, so I had to drive all the way back there to explain the situation. I asked for a manager, and the man at thefront (a red headed guy wearing a backwards cap) said he?d get one, but then I sat there and waited while he dealt with everyoneelse besides me. I ended up waiting 20 minutes, and instead of the manager coming out to meet me, the same guy brings out asecond (cup) of soup (a completely different soup, mind you) and tells me that I cannot speak to a manager and basically tellsme that?s that. All the while I?ve been helping their own customers open their front door, which the staff cared nothing about(and seemed to be finding it amusing that people were struggling, by giggling and smiling at those people. I?ve never had suchterrible, uncaring service from a chain restaurant establishment before. I?m honestly surprised they even gave me another(completely different) soup. If I could rate Black Bear zero stars, I would. Don?t bring your family here, they don?t careabout you or your business. Read more

Good prices. Great staff. The server was very welcoming and personable. She had a great sense of humor. I was impressed with... their menu. Lots to chose from. They offer many of their dishes in different sizes, which is really nice. I ordered from their"a little less" menu and it was still a lot of food. So much so, that I didn't have room for dessert (the pies looked delicioushowever). Definitely coming back to try their breakfast. Just an FYI, they serve breakfast all day. I liked their decor. It's a cross between a diner and a log cabin. Read more

Definitely your mom and pop vibe. Salad fresh and crisp. Meat, well tenderize and flavorsome. Cornbread, soft and fluffy. Meals... come as pictured and portioned. No Ala cart. Price was fair. Read more

Great service. The menu is a newspaper and it is 4 pages of a LOT of food. The biscuits are massive. Perfect for gravy sopping.... BACON!!! So thick, tasty, and delicious. Excellent flavor on potatoes. Fantastic waffle. Wish I could have tried the cinnamonroll french toast, but they were out! Next time! Read more

We had breakfast during the week and it was good! We ordered an egg scramble and breakfast sliders. The portions were pretty big... and the staff very friendly. We both ordered cold brew coffee and I will admit it was a little bitter (even with cream andsugar). The menu had lots of options and we hope to try some soon! Read more

Ample parking outside. Located in a gorgeous plaza. I had the black berry bear claw french toast. I didn't get a picture of it... because I devoured it the moment I got it. Wasn't so crazy bout the Irish Benedict for the St. Patrick's Day special. Too heavyand not super flavorful but filling. This was my first time here and I'd definitely come back and try some other things on themenu! Nice friendly staff and they also sell some merchandise. Read more

Very good breakfast. My wife loved that her waffle had a bear paw. I had the pancakes which were good as well. The theme is... awesome. The staff is friendly. They forgot the fruit and whipped topping, which costs extra, but the waitress brought it outon a small plate and apologized before I could even bring it to her attention. The portions were big, and the price was wasright. Get here early, because it is a popular spot. Read more
