We weren't expecting such an amazing place when we pulled off after a long drive for dinner. Max was our server and did... outstanding! He was attentive, knowledgeable, and polite. The fried chicken was worth the wait. Moist inside and a nicecrispy outside. And the chicken noodle soup hit the spot. Very tasty! The restaurant is clean and the staff works togetherwell. Just a little hole in the wall place with great food, portions, prices and service. A new added favorite spot to our travels.
Great people. Good food. Reasonable prices. Interesting owners. Johnie?s Bar is part of the same establishment and carries a... decent selection. I had the catfish special. My wife and I shared some great wings. Salads were fresh and crunchy. All good, butskip the bread. And I know the little butter containers with the baked potato look cheap, but don?t let that put you off. Thepotato was perfect and all the food was good. Read more
Best food we?ve had in a long time! Homemade mashed potatoes, homemade broccoli soup, liver and onions was absolutely delicious... and brown chop steak was perfect job as well. Excellent Midwest food! You won?t be sorry to eat here and the service waswonderful. Read more
If you ever stop by Leroy, IL... right off I-74, across the road from Love's truck stop.. you'll be in for a real treat! Jack's... Cafe is one of the BEST family restaurants I've been to in a long time! (And I'm a world traveler ?? ) I'm not sure which isbetter, the food or the service and happy atmosphere. The owner was a kind man and very accommodating. The waitress was young,pretty and all smiles and great energy. I'm very pleased... You folks made my day and I really appreciate that. Thanksagain. Awesome mom and pop joint. Good specials good food and good portions. Our family of 5 highly enjoyed our dining experience.... Great customer service! Highly recommend this hidden gem if you have never eaten here. Worth the drive too if you are from outof town like we are. Nothing like this in bloomington. We enjoyed the whole dining experience!!
