Reviews for Chencha y Chole in Lawrence Township, NJ
Just went there to place simple order; beef burrito. It was Friday 8pm. Dinning area was packed, ppl picking up orders... consistently coming in and out. I was told wait time for my order was 20 min, and I was absolutely fine with that bc they wereextremely busy. My burrito was one of the best I had, simple, fulfilling, fresh and delicious. Definitely recommending thisplace!!!!! Read more

The food was fine, its the dishonesty of the cashier that disgusted me. I asked for a take out menu I ordered Bistec Mexicana... $11 but was charged $14.50, Quesadillas $8 but was charged $13, Tacos $8 and was charged $11. When I realized I paid more thatI calculated, I ask for the receipt. The cashier told me then that the prices are different coz she gave me a take out menu andthat is not the price of the real menu, HUH? Explaining before she gave me the receipt. Told her that customer will not comeback not because of the food but by her dishonesty. Told her I am willing to pay for the food, its not about the money itsabout being honest to the customer. She doesn't seem to take it seriously at first but in the end she did apologized (maybebecause other customers were present, who knows!). So watch out if you are planning to come to this restaurant, check theprices before you pay! Good food but poor customer service (cashier). Read more
We love this place! Garlic shrimp is epic! Home made tortillas, traditional menu items, and open kitchen adds a little magic... that?s sometimes missing. Majority of clientele is Hispanic so that speaks to quality and authenticity. The real deal. Read more
Eh. I was really hoping this would be good. I lived in Texas for a while and I was excited to see an authentic Mexican... restaurant in this part of the country but the food itself was pretty disappointing. I was expecting more flavor and it allseemed kind of bland. The salsas looked like they came from a can, not made fresh. For the price your potions are big but Ireally didn?t enjoy the food. Good food but some items are a little overpriced. Traditional mexican food not Americanized mexican food.
Was so excited to see this open as we've been to the Trenton location a few times and loved it. This location is much closer... for us. I believe they've only been open a few days as of this writing, and they seem to already be in good shape. Food wasdelicious! Their website still needs some work as it relates to the menu, so I've posted pics of the real menu which is muchmore user friendly with descriptions in English. Prices are very reasonable. Portions are generous and the staff is veryfriendly. Read more
Each restaurant prepares & serves differently. Last nights Carnitas Flautas were dry & overcooked. You may enjoy a hard &... crisp outer shell, I find it unsatisfying. Try for yourself & then decide. Read more
