This was the first time I went to Hook & Reel. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was very clean and well put... together. The food was very good. I got a catfish po boy with sweet potato fries, and lobster bisque soup. If you are in for agood fried seafood place to eat this place is worth checking out. They do fried, and boiled foods. First time here, it's a fun experience with really great food. My wife and I both ordered seafood boils. I got the Blue Crab and... Shrimp with sausage added. My wife got the Scallops and a Lobster tail with a hardboiled egg. The sauces are great, and the foodwas fresh, well seasoned and delicious. Service is excellent and the prices seem pretty on point with the quality. Only one wordof caution: Be careful what clothes you wear here because things can get messy really fast. They provide bibs, gloves, an entirenapkin dispenser, as well as wet-naps for a very good reason. Read more

The atmosphere is nice. If you didn't know it was previously a ocharlys you could barely tell. We went during a possible soft... launch, due to there alcohol license wasn't received . Everyone enjoyed their food. I had the catfish Po boy with lobsterbisque. I enjoyed my food . Love the lobster bisque. The portion of the catfish was a nice size . I was really excited to try this restaurant as I love seafood and there are like 3 other seafood restaurants within a mile so I... wanted to see if this would be our new spot. Pros: large shrimp, like prawns. Safe and secure packaging. Cons: lacked any kindof seasoning and tasted very plain. The shrimp weren?t fried enough, they were lightly fried as seen in the pics which gave it aweird sterile taste. For the price I was disappointed. I may give it another chance in the future since they just opened but asof now I?ll be frequenting the other seafood spots that have flavorful food and good prices. Read more
