We wanted to try this restaurant after passing it so many times. So glad we did. I had the tilapia covered in cornmeal, shrimp... in plain batter, rice and french fries. Everything was delicious, fresh and the amount was more than enough for a family of 4.The shrimps are colossal. Money well spent. I decided to try the banana pudding after reading the reviews. Yummy! Driving by and decided to stop for quick lunch. All of our party had catfish nuggets and fries. The nuggets were bigger than... nuggets, hot and delicious. The fries were fresh cut and yummy. Looking for a great fish and chip joint has rather been difficult in Georgia since we're used to having some delicious fish in... the Pacific Northwest. Think we've found it!! Ordered beer battered cod and chips, 4pc seasoned cornmeal catfish, plaincornmeal shrimp, and oysters. The cod filets were huge and moist, covered in a light, crispy batter. Seasoned cornmeal on thelarge filets of catfish was just right, not overly seasoned or salty and was tender and moist. Shrimp was big and tasty alongwith the fried oysters. They are generous with their portion sizes and plenty of condiments that may be needed. Gal at theregister was super helpful and sweet in helping us figure out what type of fish to order since they offer quite the variety.Everything tasted fresh and delicious! We couldn't decide if we wanted to go to Papadeaux's or try this location out. We opted for this location just to try something... new and different. We walked in to place our order and were greeted cheerfully and offered a menu. We placed our order on thedigital kiosk. The food prices are moderate and some may say expensive, but the portions were more than what I expected. Thewait time was about 20 minutes. The food was better than I expected bit I wasn't wowed. The catfish nuggets are huge. They werebetter than the whiting in my opinion. My husband disagreed. My son liked his tilapia. The shrimp were gigantic and batter toperfection. I would revisit. I?ve gone about three times now. I always order the 2 pc catfish with fries and the 5 piece shrimp to go. The food is always HOT... even when I arrive home it?s still hot (10 min drive). The fish portions are nice and large. The only thing I would say I don?tlike is the amount of salt in the fish batter. Service is great, food is good and the location is convenient. Read more

Me, my wife, and my 8 year old went today for dinner. This was our first time visiting. I found out they were family owned. The... husband, wife, and daughters were all there working. We love family owned businesses having one of our own. We were hoping thefood would be good. I had -Grilled Snapper with grilled red peppers and Jasmin rice. My wife had -Grilled Salmon with grilledzucchini, squash, mushrooms, and pita bread. My baby had -Fried flounder and French fries. We all loved our food. Decided to give Hondos a try. The only seafood I?ve eaten to this was captain d?s, so I didn?t know what to expect, but they... exceeded it. I got the Cod fish n chips while my boyfriend got the flounder. We each got hush puppies in our plate as well. Weboth very much enjoyed our meal. The fish was juicy and tender, as well as hot and fresh. We went ahead and tried their bananapudding as well. I?ve never tried banana pudding before, but this was a delicious first try.
