Such a neat atmosphere in the restaurant with the murals of iguana people living their lives. The drink was underwhelming. I... got a frozen raspberry margarita. The flavor was very very weak which made it mainly tequila water. The spotlight of the foodis the iguana dip. If you like queso get this dip it won't disappoint. The rest of the food is well made typical Mexican foodoptions. I got the cream cheese enchilada which could have used more flavor but was good nonetheless. I would come again! Read more
First off, as any Mexican restaurant is first judged by the chips and salsa, this one was excellent. Flavorful salsa with a... good tomato taste and large chips. The lunch specials were nice and the unique 'Iguana' decor was fun. Read more
VERY disappointed. Salty USED to be something worth eating. My mother had never been, so I took her with my husband and kids... out to what I was talking about being a delicious Mexican food spot?Annnd boy was I wrong!!!! We order street tacos. They cameout cold. I?m talking cold. Not even room temperature. I explain this to the server (who failed to give his name or I wouldgladly share it?he also failed to share anything about Wednesday specials) and that it?s my mom?s first time and the experienceis failing?he claims to want redemption, we oblige. The food came out the exact same temperature. The meat was dry and cold.Disgusting. The server (nor a manager) ever asked how it was the second time. We didn?t eat it, so that should?ve told themsomething. $120 wasted. We will NEVER return. Sad. Read more
YES, YES, YES!! Corey our server was working his tail off. It seemed he was the only server on duty. I hope other tables... understood that he was waiting tables all by himself. For the food, everything that came to our table that was delicious. Theylet me substitute the Sancho so it could be vegan, an added bonus. Lastly, the straws were compostable! Fantastic service, the pitcher of margaritas that made 6 drinks made more like 8. My family all enjoyed the meal they chose.... The chips and salsa are great. The chips they serve seem super fresh and made to order, or just kept super well in a heatcabinet. Read more
Not impressed. Save your money! Ordered a shrimp burrito plate. The plate had mostly black beans and rice on it. The burrito had... 3 pieces of shrimp inside. Very skimpy meal for $17.49. Service was a bit shy, the waitress was pleasant but my glass wentempty and she didn't ask if I wanted it topped off. She only checked on my one time. I won't be back. Read more
If I could give this place zero stars I would. This place is a Trainwreck. The tables were dirty and stayed that way through... most of our meal. The service was terse and rude. Our food was obviously microwaved and very bland. Save your money and enjoythe multitude of much better restaurants in Lawrence. Read more
Tequila was good. Food was fast and delicious yet typical to many other mainstream Mexican restaurants. Our server was super... nice and very knowledgeable about the menu and drinks available from the bar. Would recommend. Had a great meal and wasreasonably priced.
