Week night after 8, glad they stay opened till 10pm. Still added our party of 4 to wait list. Not terribly long wait, fast, friendly service, food was out quickly and hot and very tasty. Price is still reasonable as well.... I had the smothered chicken with green beans and seasoned rice, my husband has the pork chop and sweet potato with a housesalad. As always, the dinner rolls are the best! Read more
I am editing my review on Texas Roadhouse because I feel they are redeeming themselves. Not only on accuracy but also on taste.... Occasionally they may forget something or over cook your steak somewhat but they have really turned things around over there???????????????????????? This is one of the best steak places in Lawrence for dining. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Special thanks should go... to Austin who helped us at the table. We got a chance to dine there for dinner and the place was super busy but we didn't haveto wait for long. I highly recommend this place and really loved the Texan atmosphere there. Read more
I like Texas Roadhouse. I love the fresh hot rolls and peanuts while you’re waiting for your entree. Our drinks were delicious... and reasonably priced. 3 stars because of two things. It was really almost obnoxiously loud. I ordered my steak medium rare andit can clearly rare. Purple and cool in the middle. I should’ve sent it back but I didn’t. I really wanted pork chops tonight and this place did not disappoint. I like mine just barely pink in the middle and they cooked... them perfectly. Service was excellent. Caesar salad, a loaded baked potato, and a KC Bier Co. Dunkel were the perfectcompliments to a great meal. Read more
Sure, it's a chain, but TR is consistently one of the best steakhouses in the KC metropolitan area. We're just never... disappointed any time we go. You can easily pay 2-3 times as much for a steak at a fancier place, but you won't get a steak thatis 2-3 times bigger or cooked 2-3 times better or tastes 2-3 times as good. You're just paying all that extra for the fancyambience. At TR, my money goes farther. That means I get to add on all the goodies and extra sides and drink more beers...andnot have to play dress up!
