First of all, I was the only one in the restaurant and it was a thirty minute wait. Okay, the salmon have to be cooked fresh,... but why was it so dry!!! It was over cooked! I had salmon at the Yard House the two nights ago and it was soooo delicious,moist, and seasoned just right.I was hoping for a similar experience, but no not at all! I love island food, and this restaurantdoes have tasty plantains, Mac n Cheese, and sweet yams. Too sweet for me, but my dad loved them. As for the Jerk Shrimp, toospicy! Ok so Ocho is my go to place for my Jamaican food due to the the Jerk chicken being ever so tender, flavorful, smoked and spicy!... The peas and rice is put together so well that it is hard to stop eating and the plantains are always soft and sweet. Thecabbage is a just right seasoned buttery masterpiece. I never forget to get a ginger drink to wash everything down. The oxtailsusually falls off the bone due to being so tender but at my last visit they didn?t do that and I was a bit saddened. There is alady that?s always there to greet you with a very warm smile. If you like Jamaican food you should give them a try! Read more

Let me start by saying I?m from Houston so maybe my taste buds are a lil different but the oxtails with rice and peas was not... good at all the oxtails were rubbery and the rice and peas were not good the seasoning was lacking. I suggested she taste CoolRunnings in Houston before I tasted their food. Im more than convinced that they need a lil help . Im sorry I loved the customerservice and promptness. This is the best Jamaican food experience I've ever had in comparison to their competitors. Great infusion of American soul food... options. Tasty selections are authentically prepared by the Jamaican owner with love. Which is the most important part and ahuge reason why I support this establishment. Authentic people cooking their authentic food, finally someone is getting itright! Thank you! I highly recommend dining in the restaurant, which is pleasant and smells so good. There is a television inthe dining area and you feel right at home. Also, you can call in your order to save time, which I've also done for my to goorder. This is not Jamaican food. The fat from the oxtail was not removed and the rice was drenched with gravy, making it hard to... digest. Also, the festival isn?t like normal festival, expect to bite down hard in a ginger-stuffed roll????. I would notrecommend at all. Read more
