honestly, a very mediocre donut spot in the neighborhood. cash only and very limited parking - i had to drive around for about... 15 minutes before even finding somewhere to park because it?s near a bunch of private residential roads with no street parking.was very underwhelmed by their donuts, unfortunately Read more

Tasty donuts and savory breakfast sandwiches! I would've given 5 stars except this is the only cash-only business I visit... regularly. Even the ice cream trucks in Lavallette take phone-based payments now. I'm not a fan of carrying cash. Read more

***3 1/2 stars*** At approximately 6AM this past Sunday, I discovered that the beach house I was staying at had very suspicious... expired coffee that tasted like rump. Enter Donuts Plus, the only establishment within 20 blocks that was open and brewing somejoe. I walked over and discovered a very cute little red building with almost a bodega feel inside. You're not getting a lattehere - you're pouring your own coffee, and it probably doesn't have a flavor other than "caffeinated." The coffee was what itwas. It woke me up, and went down smooth. There were a few other customers in there (so apparently this is THE spot for earlybirds), and the friendly fellow behind the counter told me they'd been open since 2AM and had had some interesting patrons inthe earlier morning hours. When I got to the counter I saw a display of donuts and ordered half a dozen, which included a jelly, two chocolate frosted and an Oreo. I had the two chocolate frosted over the course of the next two breakfasts. Not bad, but I'vehonestly had better. Especially when I'm on vacation I try to shop local as much as possible, but Dunkin might actually have thebetter donut quality. The structure was the most obvious area for improvement - it reminded me unfortunately of NYC street cartdonuts, which have gone massively downhill in the last 20 years. The frosting was kind of stale and easily broke off when bitteninto, though the donut itself was decent. The others were consumed by chums and were warmly received. I don't think any wereleft uneaten, and that's kind of the benchmark in my view. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area at the break of dawnbut you probably have better options if you can wait an extra hour or two. Read more

Donuts are good. When they have them. By 9am they barely have anything left and they don?t replenish the stock. If you are an... early riser, then this place is okay?..If it?s after 8:30am though, just go to Colonial Bakery, they have better donuts anyway. Read more

The place wasn?t busy at all, just my family of 4 (two parents, 9 year old girl and 2 year old boy) and then one other person.... Two girls working the counter & we have the girl with the blonde hair, absolutely impatient and rude. Most of the people comingin there are on vacation & not in a rush so to be nasty and pushy to a customer while in a customer service job is uncalled for.Not to mention you?re being impatient with children picking out donuts from a place they have never been. She really should lookfor a job where you do not have to deal with children. Donuts weren?t good enough to go back with that terrible experience. Guywith dark hair making the sandwiches was very nice & helpful tho. Thank you to him for being kind. Read more
