Our server was very nice. Quick and attentive despite the huge crowd. Our food came quickly and was hot. The menu was extensive.... The new facility is very pretty with beautiful stained glass. Prices were very reasonable. Read more

Waitress was good but the food wasn't. Had salad for a side with no cheese and had to pick the cheese out of it. Plus we got of ... salad then our food like 2 minutes later. Our son had fries for a side and they were cold. Worst food I have had there. Nothingtaste good tonight. Read more

I ordered some hot wings for $16 and was very disappointed, they were more like fried drummettes with hot sauce. Please check... your food! Read more

Steak was ok. Crab legs were small and lacked flavor. Edit... I tried them again today and the steak was perfect. Loved the... squash casserole too. Didn't care for the mixed veggies but the loaded potato was good. The steak Neptune was my favorite. Greattea as well. Read more

Wow were we shocked today! Captain Larry?s seafood and steaks really brought the flavor! We found a large American style dinning... experience, wonderful service, and personal touches that really add charm to this locals favorite establishment. Foodpreparation: 9/10. Lots of options from expected NC style seafood dishes to stuffed flounder, smothered chicken, and a largesides menu. Cleanliness: 7/10 The building is older and shows wear. Carpets are a bit tracked down, but efforts to make thingsas good as possible show! (Staff was cleaning windows and wiping down when we arrived. (Currently building a newlocation) Service: 9/10 No issues Price: 8/10 Average plate: $12 as observed. A good deal! Read more

Step back in time when your parents took you to a small local restaurant when you were vacationing at the beach looking for good... seafood that didn't cost and arm and leg. You have arrived, but it's not quite at the beach and it's not filled without-of-town vacationers and screaming kids. This is definitely a local fave judging by the clientele, and with good reason. The service is great and the food is better with a great selection of southern style vegetables too (i.e. not steamed but rathercooked down or fried. The collard recipe is from someone who has been around a while and learned the art of cooking collards. Just the right about of vinegar and ham seasoning with a kick of heat The fried squash is similarly great; notover-battered. The calabash shrimp are well prepared yet not overly salty. The portions are balanced nicely. A good place tostop close to I-74 Read more

There's a reason all of the cars are parked over here rather than across the road at Captain D's. This place is AMAZING! I've... never had a more flavorful Mahi-Mahi. The veggies and rice were perfect compliments to the delicate fish. ???? in short, it wasall too YUMMY! Read more
