Margaritas were awesome. Ordering was wonderful. Service exceptional. Food was horrible. Ordered combo chili rellano and... enchilada plate. I did eat a few bites, so salty could not finish. Food was decent. The service was garbage. Apparently we were sat in a closed section that was in the front. We had no idea. But... it was made Very clear by our waiter. It was our 1st time & may be our last. We asked "What would You suggest?", & it was metwith "There is a list on the back of the menu, look at it and pick something." OK.... how about a food question? Well that camewith an eye roll, a sigh & our waiter walking away. I said "we can be sat somewhere else or we just leave". My partner said we are here let's just see. So, I did. I ordered ice tea because, well, nothing was suggested to me as being good. We both orderedcombo plates so we could try out a few different things. WITH OUR FOOD CAME THE CHECK. Nope, not kidding at all. He wanted tobe paid and leave. My partner paid it as he knew I was a out to become extremely upset. He also tipped. So the diva got his lasttable closed out and tipped out. Then walked around and finally left. And there we were. No waiter. Had to flag down a personto get more tea, napkins, chips and salsa. Am I spoiled from not only Working in other restaurants of this cultural style? Yes.I was I willing to try something different? Yes. Was the food good? Yup. So glad we came here. The food is Fantastic! So are the mocktails and margaritas. The service was sensational and the art work... very nice. Definitely recommend! Viva Mercado is hands-down one of the best Mexican restaurants I've eaten at. My husband and I recently came across this... restaurant and decided to try it. They had a sign posted on the door stating that they were short staffed so the service may bea little slower than expected. We didn't mind the sign at all, as we were ok with having a longer dinner, and we actuallycommented on how nice it was that they were being transparent with that. However, they went above and beyond on service! Hadthey not had the sign out front, I would have not known they were short staffed at all. Their service was better than mostplaces that are fully staffed! The server was so incredibly attentive as well. He was friendly and personable and did not let itshow that he was under any time crunch whatsoever. He brought our drinks, which were delicious, chips and guacamole quickly cameout. We even received our food pretty quickly as well. I ordered the steak fajitas and they were phenomenal. All in all, one ofmy favorite places - I will definitely be back soon! Read more

When i found this place i found a new love for the Mexican cuisine. The food was fantastic, the price was great and the staff... was not only charming but also very helpful and did an amazing job at making me feel just like at home. Always a great time here. Wonderful house margaritas, good happy hour tequila shots. They even Tequila flights! Oh and the food... is delicious. We go at least once a month and have never had a bad meal. The staff are friendly and they are always comingaround to refill drinks and chips. Read more
