I worked at Tropical Smoothie for awhile a couple years ago and I know what standard we were help to and this Tropical must not... have the same standard. Everytime I go there they take 20 minutes if you order food, their smoothies are always watery and theircustomer service is awful. It?s absolutely ridiculous how this store is being ran. I had never ate at TS, i had the Chix caprese sandwich. with kale apple side. my husband ordered jerk chix. i absolutely loved... mine. it was wonderful. the kale apple was delish. it didnt say it was spicy with a kick. i loved it. my husband not so much.but he had'nt had a jerk chix before. only by our friend from Jamaica. i differently will be having hubby get me this, while hegets his canes. I pull up to drive thru and after waiting a few minutes since there was a car in front of me, they let me know that they?re not... taking orders right now because of a shift change. Besides for being annoyed because I drove all the way to that locationbecause I needed a drive thru, I was stuck behind the car in front of me and just had to sit and wait until they got her orderin. I'm sad to say this location has gone downhill since the pandemic - it used to be one of my favorite quick places to come... because I don't really do McDonald's or those types of fast food restaurants. I live around the corner and come herefrequently, more for the convenience than anything else lately. The last time I had food here, my wrap was soaking withdressing and missing ingredients. Today, I decided to go through the drive-through around 1:40 pm. An employee comes on thespeaker "Welcome to Tropical Smoothie, we are busy right now so it will be about a 5 minute wait." I said "ok, no problem."Five minutes later, what sounded like a different employee came on the speaker "hi, we are really busy right now so we can'tmake any food orders." I said "no problem, I'll just have a smoothie." There were three cars in front of me and after drivingaround, the inside of the restaurant was completely empty. After receiving my smoothie almost 15 minutes later, I overheard theemployee saying over her mic "it will be about a 10-15 minute wait." I understand they may also have orders to make from otherfood services such as Uber Eats, etc, but this is no way to talk customers. I also understand the issues with beingunderstaffed that most restaurants are still facing, however, the way they are saying what they're saying makes it seem likethey just don't care or want to work. Just bought two Turkey bacon sandwiches today for take out and there was hardly Turkey, tomatoes and NO bacon. Sandwiches are... usually cut in half, which no big deal I ended up cutting them myself. Seems like some of the T.S. employees didn?t feel likeworking today. Shame because usually they have incredible customer service. They usually call out the customers names, but nottoday. They just called out the food order. an order was given to another person that wasn?t theirs. I?m always looking forwardto eating these sandwiches, today not so much.
